The only thing that distresses me about a Buffy reboot is that Whedon is still involved. I am rewatching the show now and I think there is a LOT of room to make a show that captures the original's tone while making it a lot less cringe-y. I just don't think Whedon is the one who's going to do that.

I just don't think Whedon is the one who's going to do that. This is basically my problem. He's definitely not Mr. Sensitivity, and I can see so many ways for things to go terribly wrong. |

My problem is that they really ran out of story for Buffy or any future slayers. I mean, after the finale, they didn't even have a Sunnydale anymore.

I've been thinking- there's all these "reboots" some with the original cast ( Roseanne/The Conners, Will and Grace, Murphy Brown) or same show different cast ( like Buffy, Hawaii 50, MacGuyver, Magnum PI, Dallas, Dynasty)
I watch some and enjoy them, but... I really need them to remake Northern Exposure. Like REALLLY REALLY need them to do this.

Oh my gosh, I was just thinking of Northern Exposure and want to try and find it on a streaming source so I can watch it again. I loved that show so much! What got me thinking about it was seeing John Corbett in the Netflix romcom To All the Boys I've Loved Before where he plays the sweet dad. He has always played these sweet, good hearted characters and it started with Chris the DJ on NE! I also loved Maggie and just the whole cast was great.

One Valentines Day, my husband took me to Roslyn, WA, where they filmed. It was in the heyday and the little town was all Cicelyed-out and quite a few people were sightseeing. It was very fun. |
