I almost did a cartwheel over Masterson. He's considered a flight risk, so he's gone DIRECTLY to jail. 🤭

I guess he makes exceptions for the drugs he slips into the beverages of women he wants to rape.

Are they supposed to just throw away millions of dollars? I'd feel different if they hired him and filmed this after the allegations came out. But this was in the can before the allegations/charges. A lot of people worked hard on this film, and they deserve to have their art seen. It's not going to get the attention or the adulation that it would have and it's most likely going to get dumped on Hulu - which is appropriate. And I'm just bitchy enough to think that if this film is a huge success, and he's convicted of assault - it's just going to make his punishment even worse for him. Knowing that he had everything he ever wanted within his reach and instead he's sitting in prison. That's just kinda delicious.

I’m pretty sure that within weeks, Masterson’s character was written over a cliff on his motorcycle, and Dax Sheppard joined the cast to finish the series. Kutcher was a muckety muck producer on that show, so he could have fought to keep him, but didn’t. I have no special love for Kutcher (Jackie and Kelso are making babies, and Donna’s a CLAM!?!?), but I will let him have a pointless letter to the court after turfing Danny that quickly.

Ashton, Mila and the rest of that cast with these letters can fuck right off. Meanwhile, Topher Grace's wife posted this: linkSo I went down a rabbit hole on this subject this morning. I had forgotten this bit of gossip, but back then That 70s Show aired, there had been scuttlebutt about how Topher Grace didn't socialize with the rest of the cast (apparently they liked to get together a fair amount), kind of kept to himself, and at the time it was framed as him being standoffish or some such. Turns out, everyone in that cast were Scienos or Scieno abuse apologists and he wanted no part of that nonsense. Team Topher. And get this. Did y'all see that Chrissie Bixler-Zavala, one of Masterson's victims and who has been through hell trying to expose him for years, posted on social media within the last day in response to Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis writing letters in support of Masterson. She had been around this crowd during the early 2000s and had appeared on That 70s Show herself (and had dated Masterson). Here's what she said: "Dear Ashton, I know the secrets your 'role model' keeps for you. Ones that would end you. Did you forget I was there? You were on speaker phone that night you called Danny on February 21, 2001. I heard everything. I heard the plan. In my opinion, you're just as sick as your 'mentor'". Most commenters are concluding that she is referring to the February 2001 murder of Ashley Ellerin. If you're not familiar with that case, Kutcher had arrived at her home for a date and she didn't answer the door. He left, but (according to him), he first looked through a window and noticed that there was what looked like "spilled wine" on the floor. (It was her blood, as she had been horrifically murdered.) He eventually testified at the trial of the man who was ultimately convicted of murdering her. People are speculating that what perhaps actually happened is that he did go inside her home and encountered her body but freaked out and panicked and called Danny Masterson (of all people) for advice rather than go to the police. She also has a message for Mila Kunis, which refers to Kunis being the subject of something inappropriate on the set while she was still a teen. (Like Kutcher, who was a legal adult at the time, tongue-kissing her as a "surprise" when she was still a minor) People are raking Kutcher and Kunis over the coals on Kutcher's instagram. (They're incensed, particularly given his "I'm fighting human trafficking" stance)
