5 more women have come forward stating Roman Polanski assaulted them, including one who stated she was 9 years old at the time! Monstrous.

I hope that everyone who bought into his excuses over the years (he was crazy from grief over his wife's murder, she was a sophisticated little number who looked a lot older, SHE seduced HIM, etc) will now realize that none of those things are relevant. A man who rapes a woman or child does so intentionally and will do so repeatedly if he knows he can get away with it.

Ronan Farrow's latest batch of reporting in the New Yorker reveals that HW paid multiple spy organizations (embedded within law firms? I'm unclear on that part) to gather damaging information about his victims (AND victims' family members!) in order to cut them off at the knees before they could seek justice. So, it wasn't just a disgusting serial rapist at work. He had a PAID NETWORK of fellow humans supporting his hobby of raping women. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. Again, I must exclaim: Not ONE person spoke up? Not one WOMAN spoke up? What the fuck is even happening?? HOW? I can't wrap my head around this. Maybe I'm misreading this, but it seems pretty clear why no one spoke up. He hired EX-MOSSAD AGENTS and private investigators to spy on, harass, and intimidate his victims. I wouldn't speak out either. He had the money to protect himself, and he used it. If he hadn't become a movie producer, he would've fit in perfectly with the mafia. When did he find the time to actually make movies? It seems he was too busy assaulting women, stalking them, and covering it up to have much time for anything else! Is the NYC district attorney investigating him? He needs to go to jail. I hope these firms get sued out the wazoo for ruining people's lives, careers, reputations, etc. By the way, the comedian Nick Kroll's dad is the founder of Kroll, Inc., one of the "security" firms used by Weinstein and his lawyer. Not that Nick Kroll has anything to do with this personally, but that was an interesting bit of news I learned today. I hope Ronan Farrow, Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey win Pulitzer's for breaking the lid open on this. Here is a link to the latest NYer article. Basically sounds like he hired Ray Donovan and his team.

Ah Roman Polanski. We should just name this thread after him.
I don't know about you guys but this 2017 Hollywood meltdown is going to mean a lot of extra income for me. Because I AM done supporting these monsters and the defenders and apologists of these monsters.
A little refresher on Polanski's apologists.
Clearly, very clearly — and he’s proven this — Roman Polanski is not a predator,” Johnny Depp said in 2010. Five years prior, Mia Farrow, ostensibly all-too-familiar with accused child predators, testified on Polanski’s behalf in a libel suit. According to biographer Robert Weide, Farrow submitted a statement after Polanski’s arrest for raping Geimer describing him as “a loyal friend, important to me, a distinguished director, important to the motion picture industry, and a brave and brilliant man, important to all people.”
You’d think Roman Polanski split the atom.
Only in Hollywood could the brutal rape of a child be fantasized away. Cate Blanchett named one of her sons after him. Hollywood awarded him the Best Director Oscar in 2003, replete with standing ovations from many, including Martin Scorsese and Meryl Streep. No matter that for legal reasons — that outstanding rape sentencing — he couldn’t attend. In 2008, HBO ran a gauzy documentary on him.
When Polanski was arrested in Zurich in 2009 in a failed attempt by the US to extradite him, more than 100 celebrities signed a petition demanding his release. These included Harrison Ford, David Lynch, Tilda Swinton, Darren Aranofsky, Penelope Cruz, Wes Anderson, and — no surprise — Woody Allen. Harvey Weinstein, another signer, now also faces public allegations of decades-long sexual harassment; it remains to be seen what fallout, if any, he will suffer.

Ronan Farrow is a true hero. It is amazing how deep he's been willing and able to dig, and the chain reaction he's helped set off. 5 more women have come forward stating Roman Polanski assaulted them, including one who stated she was 9 years old at the time! Monstrous. Monstrous, indeed, that is the only word for it. I'mma need everyone who signed that "free Polanski" petition (and boy is it a list of names that breaks my heart) to renounce their signature NOW.

I'm not positive how credible this list is, but these are some of the celebrities who signed that petition. Natalie Portman, Tilda Swinton, Isabelle Huppert, Penelope Cruz, Diane von Furstenberg, Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, Martin Scorsese, Monica Bellucci, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Harmony Korine, Ethan Cohen, David Lynch, Harrison Ford, Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar, Stephen Frears,Terry Gilliam. There doesn't seem to be a definitive list anywhere, but I like this IMDB link too. Handy guide so I can know who to hate. www.imdb.com/list/ls000021488/

I remember posting about this movie way back when I first saw it. It laid out the details of what happened, and I was horrified. When I went online to read more about it I was shocked to find that this was a pro-Roman Polanski documentary. I still don't understand how anyone could watch that film and not see him for the rapist he is.

Ah but you see, it wasn't "rape-rape"^^^.
One of the celebs I'm most disappointed with is Meryl Streep. I held her in such high regard before and really thought she was a class act. But she's one of the ones who's really showed her colours stemming from the #Oscarsowhite stuff to BLM, to Polanski. What a disappointment she's turned out to be. Her dumb-ass statement at the beginning of all this reeks of "Nah nah nah I can't hear you!". Because as we now know, EVERY FREAKING ONE KNEW. This part of her statement really irks me, it's right up there with Clooney's and Damon's.
Yeah, cos we've seen how that's played out now. Decades in the making news stories have been killed, lost, thrown out, people silenced, bullied and victimised. Tell us again how no-one knew, Oh Great Meryl, Queen Bee of Hollywood.
