No worries, Mugsy. And IIRC, Roseanne made such a beef with the Emmys people, that the year she won, she wasn't even there that night.
I also hope they can at least find a way to do a new Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes. Those were some of their best written and funniest.

And with their history of stunt casting, maybe they'll be some Big Bang cross pollination--like Jim Parsons as Jackie's grown son... There's been a lot of water under the bridge since then... maybe "Arnie Thomas" will return from having been abducted by aliens. Dan: "Who are the Allens and why are they out of spice?" |

I saw her on Kimmel the other night and her view is you're not allowed to criticize Trump (exact words "fucking zip it") because Pence is worse. So, yeah, I won't be watching this reboot. If I want to hear loudmouths with idiotic views I'll give my cousin-in-law a call.

Same here. I see her tweets from time to time too and she is just..ugh. As much as I liked the original series and especially John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, I just can't bring myself to watch the reboot at this point.

That first episode was like looking at my Facebook feed: a fine divisive, and much funnier, line down the row. The second episode was more in tradition with their usual episodes: heavy duty, controversial subjects and how to make them funny. It might have been a touch more heavy handed and "pat" than the previous incarnation, but that remains to be seen.
The chemistry with everyone is definitely still there. Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman apparently still haven't taken any acting classes since the show left the air, and Darlene's older child could just be a retread of Darlene and Roseanne's battles (or "the classics" as Dan calls it.)
However, I laughed out loud, and I enjoyed the warmth of the characters.
