This determined little owl dude brought a smile to my face, he might have the same effect on others too.
I love owls but I didn’t realise they seem to have a very busy important places to go like walk

Oh, man, crying at my desk here. Thanks for that, fitz, it's good to be reminded of kindness in the world. (And, I have to say, when I visited Ireland way back in the late 80s, the people there were so kind and lovely.)

When Dad and I went to Ireland the first time, we were armed with my Grandfather’s family history he had written out. When we got to the Clare Heritage Center, the woman there said, “Most people just come in and say ‘I’m Murphy. Where am I from?”

The next day, she sent us to Torpey’s Pub, and told us to ask for Paul, who used to be the teacher in Tulla before taking over the family pub.

“I’m gonna have to speak to Annette about this. You’re the third set of folks she’s sent me this year!”

He then told us where our ancestors were buried, and gave us detailed directions to the farm that was likely “ours”, with such details as “It’s nearly 11. If you get confused at the intersection, Seamus is likely mowing his lawn, just him to straighten you out.”

We made it, and decided that the thatched roof shed across from the main house was probably the house my great-great-great-?-grandfather left during the famine.

I propped my week-old-to-me Nikon FG on the car roof, and got a timer photo of dad n me in front of the family homestead.

Irish Pubs are the best pubs.
