I love how the Tennessee zoo representative said the baby was immediately accepted by the other giraffes. (The interviewer was curious if its appearance would make a difference.)

Little girl found, her dogs kept her safe.

A 9 year old girl from near where I grew up was abducted on Saturday. Her family was camping and she was riding her bike with friends/cousins. All the kids came back to the campsites and she said she was going to do one more loop on her own. Y'know be a brave girl. When she wasn't back in 10 minutes, they started looking for her. The whole campground was looking. They called the police. They found her bike, and that's where the scent trail stopped so they knew a vehicle was involved. An amber alert was issued on Sunday.

Apparently, the police were watching the parent's house and noticed a strange person put something in their mailbox. Turned out to be a ransom note. Finger prints led them to a registered offender. He'd done 15 years for plying young boys with drugs and alcohol. They searched several residences connected to him. She was found yesterday afternoon in a cabinet. Apparently she's physically fine.

I hope that the individuals in the NYSDOC sharpen a toothbrush and jam it in his liver.
