I loved Shrill. I related to it much more than I care to admit and Aidy Bryant is amazing.

Shrill is on my to watch list--as is The Act.
I just watched Amy Schumer's latest comedy special on Netflix. I'm not what you would call a fan of hers, at all, but gotta admit, I laughed a lot during this.

I wasn’t that crazy about Shrill. Mainly, because of the relationship between Aidy and loser boy. I get why she was initially with him. She felt like he was all he deserved. But I didn’t understand why she wanted to remain with him after she started gaining confidence. He was such a loser. Why was she even bothering, especially since he had a long history of treating her as an afterthought. I was with the gay BFF all the way — lose him. I enjoyed the supporting cast more than Aidy’s character and I’m a big fan of Lindy West’s writings.

I’m a few episodes into Shrill, and while I’d probably give the show itself a 5/10, Aidy is great. I hope this translates to more leading lady roles for her.

Another Shrill watcher here. I love it quite a bit.

I'm glad you told me about it because the marketing for this show sucked. Nothing was inspired, and they certainly didn't sell the show that I saw. It happens a lot in Hollywood. Thanks for the rec!

It’s not on until tomorrow but I have already set my dvr to record all episodes of What We Do in the Shadows. I love love love the movie and since Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement are both involved in the show (not to mention Douglas from the IT crowd!), I am all in.

I just watched the last season of Catastrophe. I didn’t love it as much as I loved the previous ones. It could be me, though, and not the show. I love all the characters in it and am sad it’s the end of the show.

And she's an attractive professional. I also thought he was a loser and she could do much better, but there's also this man child quality to him that does appeal. I dated a man child for six years until I realized I really wanted to have actual children and that would not have been realistic with him.

I wanted to love it because I love all of the characters and the previous seasons but it felt off to me.
