I just watched the last season of Catastrophe. I didn’t love it as much as I loved the previous ones. It could be me, though, and not the show. I love all the characters in it and am sad it’s the end of the show. I felt the same way you did. I wanted to love it because I love all of the characters and the previous seasons but it felt off to me. It did feel a little off, but I wonder if it was because of real life stuff they were trying to work with and work around, plus the decision to end the show (they were dealing with stuff like Carrie Fisher dying, and then Rob Delaney's two year old son also died of cancer).

I've been on a comedy streak; I've watched Detroiters, Corporate and Barry. All very good, Detroiters is silly fun, Corporate and Barry are just so well written and smart.

I'm hooked on Love, Death + Robots. It's a great mix of funny, thought provoking, squick, and unnerving. I love that each episode is short so I don't feel like I'm investing too much in them, though so far each episode has a lot of bang for the buck.

She was fantastic on the show.

I'm finally getting around to watching "A Very English Scandal" on Amazon. It's good, but I keep getting distracted by both Hugh Grant's and Alex Jennings' weird tic: they both compress their lips, tilt their chins down, and act through their eyebrows. It reminds me of nothing so much as Snoopy sitting in a tree pretending to be a vulture.

After Life with Ricky Gervais on Netflix. Pros: Hilarious and sad. Con: RG clearly haaaates fat people.

While I mostly liked After Life there were a few things that bugged me. His convos about atheism just didn't seem authentic, they played less like real dialogue more like a theist and atheist tweeting at each other. I found the death of the heroin addict disturbing but they spent so little time on it and barely delved into Ricky's role in that matter and any fallout that should have surrounded it.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the casual use of heroin ... That was disturbing AF.

He was kind of chunky on The Office, wasn’t he? Maybe it’s his self loathing that’s driving it. He doesn’t like being heavy himself and fears he’ll become obese so lashes out at anyone heavy.
Side comment: I haven’t seen it yet but I kind of like that there is a casual use of heroin, because I think that’s how most drugs are used - casually. Not everyone is a major junkie and strung out. There are so many people who appear “normal” and “together” but use/abuse drugs. As I said, I haven’t seen it so I don’t know if that’s how it’s presented.
