Her lawyer needs to have a very serious conversation with her. Add her friends and family to that list, too. Her co-stars have either completely cut her off or they're enabling her with their stupid Instagram posts or red carpet comments. Look, you want to forgive your friend and be supportive? Fantastic, do that shit in private. You do NOT want to be on the "my poor little friend! She's just a victim!" end of this in your public life. Because it will follow you and make you appear that you're condoning their behavior. Not to mention, it makes them less likely to think they'll be punished and that it's just no big deal. If you want to be there for your friend, go to their home or give them a call and show your support to get THROUGH it and how you can help, plus give them sage advice on owning their mistakes and taking the punishment. I personally don't think this will impact Lori and Mossimo's marriage. This was a joint venture and they did this with their eyes wide open. Plus, if they're being isolated from their loved ones and are so embarrassed by this, they may only have each other to cling to. As for Felicity and William H. Macy, I'm sort of thinking it's a 50/50 chance of going either way. But them seem like a solid, 'we'll get through this' sort of couple. She made a shitty choice for sure, but I think it's far less than the major reasons of why couples split.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I had a feeling she was not going to make a plea deal after her red carpet arrival the other day.
I've been reading that it's really unusual for the feds to indict this far down the ladder and so many at one time. The feds have a really high conviction rate, but they also usually have the time and resources to do really thorough investigations. They are also technically supposed to go to trial within 70 days. It looks like Lori might be playing the odds that they couldn't have put together thorough cases for 50+ people. If enough of the parents decide not to take a plea, that could possibly be an issue even for the federal government. I wonder if she has reason to believe they don't have anything solid linked to her?

I just said that in Felicity's thread that I think she has a path to redemption.
Lori is exhibiting the opposite pathway. Entitled princess. Womp womp.

I seriously doubt if this woman gets lengthy jail time. As someone posted upthread, she isn't a serial killer. I'd like to see her at least do a few years, but we'll see. Doubt it will be even close to 20.

The way she is acting I am inclined to think that palms have been properly greased and assurances have been made.
If she thinks buying her daughter's way into college is ok because, money, then I would imagine she thinks she can buy her way out of trouble too.
Plus, she is a celebrity and friendly and her spunky attitude should win everyone over /s.

She won't get what she deserves (does anyone with money ever?), but I hope she at least has to spend several months without any Beverly Hills lunches, no spa days, and no cell phone. Even in the cushiest low security camps, she will suffer without her creature comforts. That's at least something.

Bigger than that, I hope she suffers reputational damage and doesn't bounce back career-wise.

Any chance she'll just get probation?

Any chance she'll just get probation? She refused a plea deal, and if her case goes to a jury, I don't think probation is an option. She'd either be found not guilty or guilty.
