I'm reading today that Lori finally had a moment of clarity, realized she's in deep shit, and is "beating herself up" for not taking the plea. In regards to the facility she will be in, the Federal Bureau of Prisons usually tries to incarcerate people somewhere near their families. ("Near" often meaning 6-8 hours away because there just aren't that many federal facilities.) Lori will get to submit her top choices for facilities but won't necessarily get them. Martha Stewart's first choice was Danbury, CT because it was closest to her family and friends. Her second choice was someplace in Florida (near her rich pals like Donald Trump, I guess?). She specifically asked not to be sent to Alderson, WV because it was "too remote" and that's where she wound up. The BOP said Danbury was too accessible to the media and the little rural roads of Connecticut would be clogged up and disrupted. Martha had a very short sentence, so accommodating her preferences would not have been much of a priority for the BOP. It's all going to be some version of Camp Cupcake. I used to work part-time with federal prisoners but it was a long time ago, so my memory is rusty. But I think as long as her sentence is under 5 years, it's pretty certain she will be in a minimum security camp. All the entertainment shows are talking about how she should handle serving time. It's like a foregone conclusion. Since this is playing out on the East Coast, will she end up in Camp Cupcake like Martha Stewart? Or the less fancy prison that the New Jersey housewife went to? Since I don't follow the Housewives, I had to look this one up. Teresa Giudice went to Danbury, which was Martha Stewart's first choice that she didn't get. I think this information that it's an awful place comes from Teresa's memoir? I think there was a whole lot of exaggeration and sensationalizing going on there to sell the memoir.

Actually, I think in the book “Orange is the New Black” the prison where the protagonist went to was Danbury, and they discuss that Martha Stewart may be coming there. It was a huge rumor.
The way it was presented in the book, it seemed like an unpleasant summer camp.

The way it was presented in the book, it seemed like an unpleasant summer camp. Sounds about right. It's life-changing and unpleasant for everyone even if the circumstances aren't that bad and it's not for very long. The TV version of OITNB is misleading because they brought in every problem in the prison system at large (overcrowding, privatization, rioting, lack of mental health treatment, violent murderers who threaten other inmates) and portrayed it as something that goes on at camps, which it doesn't.

Hi, Martini Girl! Thank you for the welcome. You didn't miss much - just my heartfelt hope that Aunt Becky tries bribing a more seasoned criminal to help her navigate the intricacies of the penal system's admissions system so that she might get to "go" somewhere she isn't qualified to be; you know kind of like...
I want to see those photo shopped pics of her on the prison yard bench press equipment for s&g.

Plead not guilty in court today because "She didn't want to take a deal, because she didn't see it as a legal violation" according to a source to PEOPLE. The source continued: I believe every bit of this. She truly thinks what they did wasn't a crime, no big deal, and she just can't cop to the charges and plead guilty because "she doesn't know how that will hurt her daughters". Um, girl, THEY BEEN HURT. Olivia Jade isn't even speaking to you and the other one agreed for a little "all is okay" photo op with paparazzi and hasn't been seen from since. I really feel like the prosecution is not having any of the games these bitches are playing. They got like 13 to own up and take the guilty plea offer, but the rest I think are going to be so screwed.

Holy shit. This must be an absolutely tortuous existential crisis for this girl. Only sharing her life with people who already know her. Good God, WTF is that? Why would anyone do such a thing? Your close friends can see through your BS and care about you too much to be jealous of you. What's the point of looking good and being cool? I mean, if no one envies you, do you actually exist? What is life without total strangers loving and hating you, not you-you, the you you want people to see? Who. AM. I?? What. IS. Life??

If People's story about Loughlin is true, then she's mad dumb BECAUSE THAT'S HOW A PLEA DEAL WORKS. You can't decide to take it after you turn it down. That's why it's a deal. She should know that. She's read enough scripts in her life. Her lawyers should have made that clear. She may be more of a PITA than any of us realize.
I wonder if now she'll get a higher than expected sentence and then everyone will feel sorry for her.
