If People's story about Loughlin is true, then she's mad dumb BECAUSE THAT'S HOW A PLEA DEAL WORKS. You can't decide to take it after you turn it down. That's why it's a deal. She should know that. She's read enough scripts in her life. Her lawyers should have made that clear. She may be more of a PITA than any of us realize. This reminds me of another People story I've read about Olivia Jade being in on it: “She would have never gone along with it if she thought this would happen.” I'm not sure whether we've got the dumbest family or the laziest writers here.

She's read enough scripts in her life. Her lawyers should have made that clear. She may be more of a PITA than any of us realize. I can only imagine the frustration of her high-priced attorneys trying to get through to her that this process is not about her feelings, that the prosecution is not going to negotiate according to her whims, and that the judicial system is not going to bend to her interpretation of what she thinks should be a "rule" rather than a "law". What a piece of work she is. ETA: According to The Boston Herald, the Feds are apparently sending "target letters" to some of the children who were 18 and who participated in the scheme. The target letters are informing them that they are the targets of an investigation. It's thought to be a pressure tactic to scare the parents who aren't cooperating. Both of Lori Loughin's children qualify. I wonder if they have received their letters yet. For someone who professes she did everything she did out of devotion to her children, you would think she would do everything in her power to keep her children out of trouble. It was no accident that Felicity Huffman's apology stated that her daughter knew nothing.

If Lori keeps this nonsense up, her lawyers may ditch her.

According to People, she and Mossimo are "outraged" that anyone would think they're cheaters.
Oh, honey. Bless your stupid little heart.

Yes, her friends are also telling People how terrible it would be for Lori's private business to be brought out at a trial since this is a "family matter". If she comprehended this situation, she would know that continually feeding these stories to People is not helping her in any way.

Do these friends not understand how the criminal justice system works?

If they don't already have a celebrity crisis manager, these fools need to hire one, because everything about their attitude towards their current situation is definitely not helping. If they do have one, well, he or she STINKS. I'm gobsmacked by how badly they are handling all of this. The FEDS have the goods on you, Loughlin-Giannulis. This is not like getting out of a parking ticket in LA.
Not excusing her actions, but since her arrest Felicity Huffman has handled all of this in the best manner, legally and PR wise. She's getting good advice, and taking it.

One of the People stories did say that her friends tried to tell her gently that even if she feels what she did wasn't wrong, that refusing to cooperate might not be to her benefit.

Whenever SVU inevitably rips this from the headlines, they're not even going to have to do much work to create the arrogant delusional celebrity mom character. I hope they throw the book at her.

In this episode, I want it to be about Lori only and have Felicity play her. Lol. I don’t get this not guilty plea. I have no idea how any of this works, but would they do that because they have an ace in their back pocket, ‘get out of jail free card’so to speak? Or are they really that dumb and arrogant?
