The FBI made it clear that the Varsity Blues case was about parents, not kids. Some of the parents had the decency to leave their children out of it and some didn't. But none of the kids came up with or organized these schemes themselves.
Whether they were still 17 or had just turned 18, the kids were just doing what the parents told them to do. Parents who would spend millions of dollars and commit federal crimes to get their kids into USC of all places are deranged and that's not the fault of the kids.
If there's something I would wish for the Loughlin girls, it would be for this to act as a wake-up call that their parents are shitty and raised them to be shitty too, and they would reject the values of their money- and status-obsessed parents and build honest lives for themselves. It probably won't happen though.

Yeah, the mothers of the influencers are turning out to be stage moms turned up to 1000%. Has anyone been following the Danielle Cohn controversy?

Her father is right to be worried. Yikes. She looks like a hardened 30. I see a Courtney Stodden fate for her. She probably doesn’t realize it, but she’s lucky her father is sounding the alarm.

Super convenient that she is remorseful NOW. Took long enough to get to any semblance of self awareness.

When you see Mom and Manager in the same sentence, this is not good. As for Aunt Becky, hope your Prison coach was worth the money! Two months? What a joke, she'll get early release for Covid.

All this effort to get into USC. I'm amused at the fact that their combined fines are not even as much as the $500k that they wasted on this stupid scheme. But add the $400k in fines to the original $500k plus what have got to be exorbitant lawyer bills since they dragged this shit out far longer by trying to beat the rap, plus the loss of employment, loss of reputation that will mean Lori's not really employable anymore...I mean, really? All that for 2 kids who didn't even WANT to go to college. And Olivia Jade was doing quite well for herself (in something that didn't even require a college degree) and this scandal tanked that too. If only every entitled, wealthy person who feels above the rules could experience this level of schadenfreude...our political climate would certainly look quite different!

Yeah, I'm willing to bet a year plus's worth of legal fees for this mess could have paid off their daughters college fees till graduation and still have money left over. Plus, Lori is done in the business she's been in since she was 15. She's not a good enough actress to make up for this, and her whole selling point is being Aunt Becky the Good, which she's ruined. I can't see Hallmark taking her back now.

The Moughlins just sold their Bel Air house for $18.75 million and downsized to a $9.5 million house in Hidden Hills. That seems like a smart financial move in anticipation of discontinued income for a few years.
Prediction: In two years, Lori will have divorced Gianulli and will be on the ABC Home & Family promoting her memoir about prison and her journey back to God.
