Jim Brown of the Cleveland Browns had an interesting career. Howie Long of the Oakland/L.A. Raiders had a brief run in action movies the best one being The Predator, the rest solid straight to video flicks. There was the dad from Webster who played for the Lions, Alex Karras. Terry Bradshaw in the Cannonball Run movies. I am old and full of lots of useless information.

Let's not forget Joe Namath and his pantyhose commercials!
Rosie Fryer was another player who transitioned to Hollywood. I think he only made one movie though... The Thing With Two Heads. He also did commercials back in the day and did needlepointing as a hobby.
Alex Karras also did Hollywood movies, not just TV. He was in a few 1980s thrillers.

Broadway Joe! And Merlin Olson on Little House! I think half of the L.A. Rams of the 70s were in t.v. and movies at some point.

It's Rosey Grier. I think my mom had a book he did on needlepoint. Very interesting man.
Payton Manning has done some voice work, hosting, and commercial work. He was hilarious on SNL. I think he actually has really good comedic timing. He probably could have made the transition to entertainment but he seems to be more inclined to the coaching/teaching/ownership side of things.

The comparison to the Rock came up when Kelce was driving around LA with his business managers and saw a billboard featuring Dwayne Johnson. He supposedly said “Man, I don’t think I’ll ever be as famous as the Rock.” His co-managers then looked at each other and said. “Yes, you can.”
I agree that staying at that level of fame long-term will be a stretch. The Taylor relationship is pretty much the sole reason that I can see that he's suddenly been catapulted into the stratosphere. But I guess good for him for thinking ahead to what he can do to start building a foundation for a post-NFL career, if enduring fame and fortune is the goal.
Not sure if the comparison is apt or not, but retired NBA star Dwyane Wade is a good example of someone who has managed to maintain a pretty high level of fame and build out a multifaceted career after he was done with sports. He also is in a high profile relationship (Gabrielle Union).

Dave Bautista is another former wrestler who is pretty good.
I kind of enjoy how much Swift gets under T***p's saggy orange skin. He is so jealous.

To offer an another viewpoint- I’m not entirely sure what Taylor is supposed to do. She is endlessly scrutinized and criticized, and media outlets know that mentioning her will increase clicks, so they keep doing it. I don’t put that on her. She acted no differently than any other football star girlfriend and has no control over the NFL and broadcasts focusing on her. I’m not discounting people’s opinion here, everyone has their own perception. I do think the “she only writes dis songs about her exes” is a stale narrative that is easily disproven, by simply even looking at her tour set list. Hell, she’s written entire albums now that were not about boyfriends and one of my favorite songs is one she wrote about her grandma. Dislike her music, okay, or her persona, fine, or her exposure, I guess. I’m not going to use the misogyny gotcha. But I am also not going to try to diminish her incredible accomplishments. She’s the biggest star in the world, let her be that. I disagree with the notion that media outlets write about her and she can't control it. Some of that attention is going to happen regardless, but a lot of it is courted, and she behaves to get it. I was at one of the Chiefs games this season that she attended, and had a seat where I could see her from the stands, at a distance. She was constantly posing. Whether the camera is on her or not, she's posing to get them on her. I've gotten to the point that I think in her mind, everything she does publicly is a performance. If she didn't do so much to seek the attention, she wouldn't be written about as much. Yes, there'd still be writing about her for clicks. But without new content, there'd be less. Re: the constant posing, I would posit that she HAS to be always posing BECAUSE the cameras will be on her. I sincerely doubt that she needs to strike a pose to get the camera's attention at this stage of both her own fame and this high profile relationship with a Super Bowl winning football star who clearly enjoys the limelight in his own right. I don't think she can let her public face down for a second because of the ubiquity of cameras. and to be honest, everything she does in public actually is a performance, it will be photographed, scrutinized, and her motives debated no matter what. Whether you read something positive or negative into it is generally dependent on where you fall on the love her or hate her scale. I don't have strong feelings about her one way or the other, but if she is able to survive this level of superstardom without going full Britney/David Cassidy/insert child star here, then good on her.

I don't see Travis Kelce having the same career as Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne was already involved with show business via professional wrestling (which is performance, not sport) from his teenaged years, and he started in TV when he was 27. Travis probably has a couple of years left in the NFL, so he'll be 35 at least when he gets going. I predict that he might be in a few movies, but they'll mostly be laughingstocks like Space Jam or Kazaam. He better put a ring on it if he wants long-term fame, and even then, while I don't like Taylor, I also don't think she's stupid, and she'll figure out eventually if he truly loves her or if he's just using her. Also, while personal attraction is obviously in the eye of the beholder, I don't think Travis is as good looking as The Rock. The Rock is second probably only to Arnold Schwarzenegger in terms of commercial post-athletic success, even beyond that of Jon Cena, who comes in third. I don't think it's an accident that all of those guys are also conventionally extremely good looking. Travis looks like an average guy you'd see at the gym. They (Arnold, The Rock, and Cena) are all charming! And they can all act! The first time I saw Cena, he was the drug dealer in Sisters with Tina Fay. He was describing his stash, and I was in love. I get none of that from Kelce. He’s big….and he’s a “passionate” bully. I think he did more damage with his coach slam that he knows. That move sticks in my brain more than any thing else that happened in the game.
