Not to fat shame her last thread, but it was getting a bit girthy so start over here.

I sort of like the song "Lover," but gotta agree with John Mayer: everyone leaves the Christmas lights up til January, Taylor.

I used to be indifferent towards Taylor Swift - but ever since she started speaking out more and becoming more political, I've really started to like her. I've been streaming her last special (Miss Americana) on Netfix during the quarantine, and I've been impressed with her work ethic, determination, and willingness to learn and self-educate about these issues.
I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of Taylor's music/output (although I have some of her songs on my gym playlist,) and I'd never pay to see her live, but I really respect her as an entertainer/personality in terms of what she's achieved.

Not a huge fan, but perfect sparkly princess is starting to get a bit of grit. (Which makes her way more complex and interesting.)

I love how she's using her power for good and "Bad Blood" is still one of the most annoying ear worms ever.

I sort of like the song "Lover," but gotta agree with John Mayer: everyone leaves the Christmas lights up til January, Taylor. I really like this song, but I feel like either the rhythm of it or the vocals reminds me SO much of either another song or another singer and it bugs the crap out of me that I can't identify what it reminds me of. Also, there's a certain point in the song around 2:45 where I desperately want her to just hit a high note of "you" instead of dipping to a down beat of "lover," but perhaps she can't hit that note? She's leading right up to it and then backs off, it's annoying.

There is software that could cheat it up there for her, but she didn’t do that, so kudos to her for that, anyway. The verse sounds familiar to me, too. First, I thought “Anyone Who Had a Heart”, by Dusty Springfield, but that was because I have been mainlining Shelby Lynne’s Dusty album this week. I have settled on Dylan’s version of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”. I specify, because the Guns n Roses version doesn’t capture the same vibe.

Why DIDN'T she pick February? Same amount of syllables, and makes more sense.
Has anyone watched the Netflix concert? Any good? I am a fan, though I still say she is a better songwriter (January notwithstanding) than a singer.
