This makes me ridiculously excited even though I don’t have cassette player anymore! Could Taylor bring the cassette back? My only complaint about the new album is that I have to work tomorrow. If only she dropped it on a Friday night! |

If only she dropped it on a Friday night! I still have my purple see-through CD/cassette player so I'd be all set, lol, but I don't see cassettes making a comeback. The streaming, Youtubing, no-commercial watching majority wouldn't be able to deal with rewinding/fast forwarding/flipping over and I don't know if we're far enough away for it to be truly vintage just yet. |

I am loving her song with Bon Iver so much. It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would. I can't count how many fights I had with an ex on him not knowing I was unhappy when I literally told him I was unhappy. It wasn't even signs (as this song alludes to), I used the words "I'm unhappy with how our relationship because things that were right, don't feel that way anymore," and this song just made me relive those emotions again. If my emotions at that time were a song, this would be it. She's offering the album as a CASSETTE! I don't even have a cassette player anymore, but I'm tempted just for the nostalgia factor! I’m listening to Folklore now, and I’m surprised by how much I’m liking it so far.
Exile is one of my favorite songs so far too, but they’ve all been pretty good. Usually my short attention span has me pushing the skip button a lot or wanting to lol, but I’ve listened to most of the songs all the way through without wanting to skip any.

I'm loving these new songs. And this is coming from someone who's not really a fan at all. The one with Bon Iver stood out and I really like "Hoax" too. I remarked to a friend that this is Taylor for the grown up set.

OK, so did my post just go back in time to where they still sold boomboxes with cassette players? It's saying my post is from 2005. Creepy! LOL! I'm loving the album so far, too. I haven't finished it all, but her new video for "cardigan" is an interesting one and I guess she directed it as well. |
