I don't see Travis Kelce having the same career as Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne was already involved with show business via professional wrestling (which is performance, not sport) from his teenaged years, and he started in TV when he was 27. Travis probably has a couple of years left in the NFL, so he'll be 35 at least when he gets going. I predict that he might be in a few movies, but they'll mostly be laughingstocks like Space Jam or Kazaam. He better put a ring on it if he wants long-term fame, and even then, while I don't like Taylor, I also don't think she's stupid, and she'll figure out eventually if he truly loves her or if he's just using her. Also, while personal attraction is obviously in the eye of the beholder, I don't think Travis is as good looking as The Rock. The Rock is second probably only to Arnold Schwarzenegger in terms of commercial post-athletic success, even beyond that of Jon Cena, who comes in third. I don't think it's an accident that all of those guys are also conventionally extremely good looking. Travis looks like an average guy you'd see at the gym. They (Arnold, The Rock, and Cena) are all charming! And they can all act! The first time I saw Cena, he was the drug dealer in Sisters with Tina Fay. He was describing his stash, and I was in love. I get none of that from Kelce. He’s big….and he’s a “passionate” bully. I think he did more damage with his coach slam that he knows. That move sticks in my brain more than any thing else that happened in the game. I get none of that same charm from Kelce (I’ve been a Chiefs fan so I was well aware of him way before TS). He may get a few offers but they’ll fizzle out.

The fact that of all of the NFL players turned actors, would O.J. be the most famous?* It would be smart for Travis to manage his expectations because he won't get bigger than Dwayne Johnson.
As for the better half and Hollywood, would Taylor be interested in directing/writing movies?
*ETA: I forgot about Carl Weathers. His charisma really worked well on screen. R.I.P.

My fan fic is that he writes (or “writes”) a screenplay about a football star dating a music star and stars in it, preferably post-breakup with Swift. I want him to do the post relationship public analysis via art this time!

I disagree with the notion that media outlets write about her and she can't control it. Some of that attention is going to happen regardless, but a lot of it is courted, and she behaves to get it. I was at one of the Chiefs games this season that she attended, and had a seat where I could see her from the stands, at a distance. She was constantly posing. Whether the camera is on her or not, she's posing to get them on her. I've gotten to the point that I think in her mind, everything she does publicly is a performance. If she didn't do so much to seek the attention, she wouldn't be written about as much. Yes, there'd still be writing about her for clicks. But without new content, there'd be less. Re: the constant posing, I would posit that she HAS to be always posing BECAUSE the cameras will be on her. I sincerely doubt that she needs to strike a pose to get the camera's attention at this stage of both her own fame and this high profile relationship with a Super Bowl winning football star who clearly enjoys the limelight in his own right. I don't think she can let her public face down for a second because of the ubiquity of cameras. and to be honest, everything she does in public actually is a performance, it will be photographed, scrutinized, and her motives debated no matter what. Whether you read something positive or negative into it is generally dependent on where you fall on the love her or hate her scale. I don't have strong feelings about her one way or the other, but if she is able to survive this level of superstardom without going full Britney/David Cassidy/insert child star here, then good on her. We're pretty much in agreement here. The one detail I'd point out is that no celebrity who is going to have to have cameras on them HAS to pose - unless they don't want to risk not looking perfect. The Super Bowl put cameras on many celebrities who were at the game. They were put in assigned seats so the camera could find them. Some of them were perfectly prepared and looking great. Others were eating, looking at their phones, etc. Taylor was so prepared, she had a drink sitting ready for her to grab and chug it. The difference is some celebrities sit there, and then acknowledge the camera. Taylor stays in a constant state of being ready for the camera. But I do agree - she's performing all the time when she's in public. My fan fic is that he writes (or “writes”) a screenplay about a football star dating a music star and stars in it, preferably post-breakup with Swift. I want him to do the post relationship public analysis via art this time! I could so see the two of them doing a remake of The Bodyguard in a year or two if they're still together.

The album apparently leaked early. Haven’t listened to the alleged leak but if true rather than being all about Joe it sounds like a fair bit of the album is about Matt Healy? And Taylor’s unhappiness that her fans were not thrilled by the relationship. I guess we’ll know for sure tomorrow but I’m not sure I’m be publicly pining for that mess and reminding people that we ever dated!

Saw the album's cover. It's so pretentious it looks like a parody of a Taylor Swift album cover.

I hope she does right by Clara Bow, but I'm waiting for her whining about her victimhood.

I’m really enjoying the album and I think there is some really good stuff on there. I think it’s fascinating that she commented on the more intrusive rabid members of the fanbase and a fame that is honestly outside her control at this point.
While confirming that Matty Healy is the scuzzball that the everyone in the world except Taylor knew he was last year, there is a part of me - and this might be my age talking - that is very much, “Him? You wrote half an album about him?” He’s the dude that gets maybe, one song. And if you were anyone else but Taylor Swift, you would pretend that he never existed. We all have that guy in our past, I am not even slamming her for rebounding to him. But she’s given him a prominence that he’s the type of dude to get off on. He’s probably the only ex that is actually happy to end up in a song, or songs.
He makes John Mayer look like, I don’t know, Tom Hanks, or insert any other completely lovable, unproblematic guy. I mean, seriously.

I saw a thumbnail of the album cover. I thought it was a Russian folk painting of a Cossack on a horse (right) going up against a bear (left) during winter.
Plus there is a person sitting full on, top of head to knees in a white robe, being reflected just past middle left.
I go by my flash viewing. 😉
