Last thread was starting to burst its seams, much like every tourist by Day 3 of an all-inclusive holiday. Start over here.

Work Wife and her Sister in Law and I are doing Eastern Europe next April. However, afterwards, we're thinking of going to Paris for a few days. The Costsaver tour ends in Frankfurt. Would it be better to take the Train to Paris, or just fly there? Bohemian Highlights is the tour we are taking. I want to be on it right. now!!!

It seems like potentially taking a high-speed train could be easier in the long run, since train stations tend to be closer to city centers than airports, plus, less hassle with security (although I haven't done international train trips, so I can't speak to that side). Certainly more comfortable than a plane. I'd check the high-speed train options and compare against flights. Once you add in the extra time needed for airports and costs to get there, the train may come out ahead easily. Regardless, have fun!

Trains are lovely- but a word of advice: if anyone has even remote motion sickness this can be an issue. My trip to Europe we trained all over in short stints and I was fine (I get a little queasy in cars if I read - that's all really)... but a long trip overnight: I was sick and in the train bathroom all night. So, we planed it everywhere else after that. The flights are so cheap.
Have fun! I love Paris so much

I was supposed to go to Reno and Sacramento this weekend with a freiend, to see Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams, but that was cancelled because, well, you know.
So that vacation was cancelled, but I kept the vacation days, which are this Thursday to Tuesday. Wanderlust is terrible, and I REALLY want to go somewhere, but all the places I look at (Vegas, San Diego, Palm Springs) most of the attractions and shows are still closed.
So my vacation might turn into.... more of what I've been doing the past 9 weeks. Netflix and Video Games.
COVID has ruined EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you. I'm meeting same friend in Las Vegas this weekend, but there looks like very little is actually open. The only entertainment I can find is the new Hunger Games Exhibition at MGM Grand. Almost every other Celebrity / Comic / Cirque de Soleil / Hot Nearly Naked People show opens after July 1st.
So.... not sure WHAT we are going to do besides Gamble and Drink. I'm not even sure if the pools are open. To be continued.......
