If you read the original Fleming novels, then you know that Bond isnt all that good-looking. He is suppose to be hard looking or rugged. In that regard, Craig's looks is fine to me. I just don't remember him having much of a screen presence, not that Bond is such a difficult role or anything

Aww poor Pierce. I think part of the reason he is so miffed is that his last two outings as Bond were awful (not his performance, but the films themselves). Especially Die Another Day. What a stinker to go out on. He probably just wanted the chance to do another Goldeneye.

I am sort of irked that they keep calling Daniel Craig a "no name" actor. Sure, he isn't a household name but he has been in some high profile films and television programs over the years. He is by no means a huge star but I totally think he should be classified as a "rising star" rather than an "unknown".

No kidding! He's been around for a while now. He was terrific in 'Our Friends up North'. I don't get all this fuss about him being blond though. If it's that much of a trauma couldn't he just dye his hair. Not sure if that would look good, but still. Move on from the hair already. I think he may surprise us as Bond, but do we really need another Bond movie?

He doesn't look like I would imagine bond to be. Hopefully he's got enough charisma to overcome that.
