I have seen him in at least 2 movies and didn't even remember him. As for Bond movies I haev lost interest since Sean Connery so it is no big deal to me whoever is the new Bond. Yawn.

The new Bond doesn't like guns

The 37-year-old actor, who was named as the sixth incarnation of the role a fortnight ago, said: "I hate handguns. Handguns are used to shoot people and as long as they are around people will shoot each other. That's a simple fact. I've seen a bullet wound and it was a mess. Bullets have a nasty habit of finding their target and that's what's scary about them."

He's got a supporting role as a South African in "Munich". I'm looking forward to both the film and his performance. (I think he'll do a nice SA accent!)

He is a good actor (perhaps the most versatile actor to play Bond, but I don't know if that will make him a good Bond) and I think he will be fine in Munich. He actually seems like he might be capable of playing Bond and still making small movies that don't become all about him (Pierce tried to do this but he was always much bigger than the movies and it ended up hurting his performances, imo). Maybe that is because he is so relatively unknown. He might be able to line up some work in non-Bond areas and prove that he can do Bond and "serious" work.

I still don't think he is quite right for Bond. He just doesn't have the sex appeal that Bond needs. Like, I don't really go for guys like Pierce Brosnan but I sure as hell understand why some Bond girl would jump in the sack with him. The same goes for Connery and Dalton (I don't remember being impressed with Roger Moore's seduction skills and I never saw Lazenby). Then again, sometimes all it takes is the right role to make someone seem desirable. Perhaps Bond is that role.

I really like him. He's very talented. But Bond was a poor choice. I guess actors are suppose to jump at the chance of playing Bond. I see it as an old and tired franchise. I was disappointed when he accepted the role.

I can't picture him as Bond, but then again, I've never watched a Bond movie so I should probably shut up.

I'm not all that crazy about him being Bond either, but I saw a couple of stills from the movie and he looked hot! Man's got a great body. I'll try to find the links...

Yeah, he was very good in The Mother. Great movie all around. He is very sexy, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to translate in still photos.
