Honestly, he probably should've won for "Magnolia."

Honestly, he probably should've won for "Magnolia." That was a VERY packed category with Haley Joel Osment (my personal pick) and Michael Clarke Duncan. Michael Caine's acceptance speech was great though.

And Jude Law at his most beautiful in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Like 1993 Best Supporting Actor (DiCaprio, Fiennes, Postlewaite, Jones, and Malkovich) an impossible choice.
I was TeamOsment (The Sixth Sense would not work nearly as well if we the audience didn't fully believe the kid) but would have been very happy for Cruise or Law or even Duncan.
On Subject: Tom Cruise the person is weird, but Tom Cruise the Movie Star is very, very, very, very good at his job.

Tom's also great in Topic Thunder since I find comedy to be more difficult than drama.

Tom's also great in Topic Thunder since I find comedy to be more difficult than drama. As I understand it, though, he had no clue that character was meant to be funny and had to be talked into doing it. And he’s never done another comedy—do the Scienos think it demeans the brand or something? The Scientologists on My Name Is Earl and That 70s Show are the only comic actors I can think of.

I know Jason Lee's a (former) Clam, but who else on the show?

Jason actually left it years ago.

Laura Pepron is a (former?) Scientologist. I remember an interview she gave where she said people mocked her for being one but then she "explained" it and it made sense to them. Also that she was considered the sensible one of her friends so they trusted that she wouldn't get involved in anything bad. This was post 2005.
Not sure about MNIE.
Not surprised Suri doesn't have a relationship with her siblings, it's not like they have one with their own mother.

Do Nicole and Katie/Suri have any contact? As “survivors” or whatever you would call it?
