I don't necessarily mind Nepo babies when they have talent and Gwynnie is not the only one to point out that a lot of people follow their parents into other professions/family businesses. It is true and it's not always easy to break free, even if you want to. However so many seem to not just get a foot in the door or a brief leg up but are actively given project after project when it has been proven they have no talent and the public aren't even that interested in them.
It's also not a new phenomenon as she herself proves (heh) but it's easier to see these days via the internet and SM and the bar for "being famous" has been lowered so dramatically that any famous person's kid seems to get labelled and "influencer" for being on SM.
Carrie Fisher is probably my favourite "Nepo Baby" and I think she was extremely talented, although acting was not her best gift, she was so incredibly witty and had a knack for making people howl with laughter at incredibly horrific things that she had been through. Her childhood was so Hollywood that she was probably never going to be "average", even if she didn't need to have ECT (and she made that both poignant and funny). I thought her daughter was pretty great in Scream Queens so I have no problems with the her getting the role despite her entire family history. And she keeps a low profile.
But if people complaining about nepotism is the worst thing you have to deal with, you know you have a pretty sweet life. It's not a polite term but it is something you can work towards getting people to shut up about by improving your skills.

From the Bustle interview:
Reminds me of Friends:
The Gwyneth quote about Apple and nepo babies just confirms to me that college is a small detour before she heads straight into the industry, as expected.

I'm surprised that Apple went to college at all and that it wasn't USC. She's at Vanderbilt, no less. My son is a senior in high school and I've become pretty helicoptery about the whole college thing. Vanderbilt is a very tough admit! My kid is in the top 3% of his class with a 1540 SAT and a pilot's license and won't get in. I'm just curious whether Apple manifested her acceptance with visualization and positive affirmations, or with a big donation from her parents.

Gwyneth appears to be wearing a bra and control top pantyhose in those photos. It's not a sexy look in my book.

Is anyone watching American Horror Stories? Yes, plural. It's sort of a companion show to American Horror Story. Instead of each season having one overarching plot/tale, American Horror Stories has seasons in which each episode is a self-contained tale of horror. Anyway, in one of the episodes of the third season, which just debuted, Gwyneth plays the voice of Daphne, a virtual assistant (not unlike Amazon's Alexa), who has...um, difficulties consciously uncoupling from the man she was gifted to.

She may be laying off the fillers (although I am here to tell you you can do injectables without looking like a freak if you exercise a little self-control), but I am certain she’s recently had her eyes done. She looks nice, but she never used to look feline the way she does here. Now, the control top pantyhose are just fucking bizarre. I’m surprised she let a stylist put her in such a weird getup.

See, this is why I can't like Gwyneth Paltrow. Instead of having a sense of humor about being a "nepo baby", she whines and whines about the term being offensive. When Jamie Lee Curtis won her Oscar, she joked about being a successful one. Fishstick is just insufferable.

I always make sure to read this thread when here so that I can see what pretentious shit Gwyneth has been saying lately.
