I used to work for a high-end contractor that refurbished luxury homes in Boston. One of his clients requested a quote for one of those rolling library ladders, and when the contractor saw how expensive they were, he refused to even quote it, he just told the client to forget it. He wouldn't even say the price out loud, so I've always wondered what it was! But I think that must be the reason why they aren't very common.

That will last about a day with your average infant.

Apparently it's a stunt about taxes on diapers.
The problem is though, from the woman who tried to sell us jade vagina eggs, gem-encrusted diapers seem too believable.
Oh well, she got attention so all's good in the end!
