You’d think business wise it would make sense to have your trademark locked down before you launch a beige instagram site and several jars of jam with peeling labels but what do I know! Once again it’s just baffling that she rushed to launch this in march and it’s been crickets ever since.
Puck news which is a newsletter helmed by former Vanity Fair & The Hollywood Reporter staffers recently did a series on all the big streaming deals and noted that neither the lifestyle cooking series nor the polo show connected with Netflix the way that Harry & Meghan did (I guess not enough royal mud slinging to bring in the viewers) so maybe the hope of a lifestyle brand bolstered by a tv series were overly optimistic.

I always wonder about who plants which stories. The one that confused me was about how Netflix is going to manage all the ARO stuff, in conjunction with the cooking show. Really? That seemed so odd to me.
And yes, why do that silly launch with nothing ready to go. No product, no website, no trademark.

Polo is always going to be an extremely niche and controversial sport. I read up a lot about it as a teen because I read Jilly Cooper's "bonkbusters" but I stopped reading when Rupert Campbell Black was still "the most hansom man in England" in his 60s and she made a pairing between a 13 year old and a man in his late 20s a good thing also teachers having sex with underage students. Sorry to digress... I I get there's glamour that some may like but it's not what they or Netflix signed up for.
I don't think anything H&M do is going to be as popular as dishing (recreated for the show) on the BRF. They just don't really have much else to offer. A cooking show? Every 3rd rate Youtube/TikTok influencer has done something similar and if we look back at Archetypes Meghan will look back at her burn book and act as if it is 2006 and she's just trying to stick it to which ever show was popular then that didn't give her a call back.

A Polo doc is sooo out of touch. And I've read some reports that it can't even get off the ground because all of the other people involved in polo want nothing to do with this doc. Polo players/participants are rich elites who don't need/want to take part in something like this.
The 2 of them have nothing to offer. Yet, they still seem to grift in and out and still some people let them.

The Hollywood Reporter has an article called “Why Hollywood keeps quitting on Harry & Meghan”.
My major takeaways are that is sounds like the Sussexes skipped out on paying Sunshine Sachs for their PR services. Grifters gonna grift huh? Interesting that it’s noted a Sunshine Sachs partner added Harry as a client when he got engaged to Meghan. Odd. I thought these two absolutely definitely didn’t have any thoughts of Hollywood stardom or pursuing freedom until AFTER they married and his family were so mean to them..
Harry has no airs apparently but he’s an enabler. Meghan is described as terrible. She belittles people, terrified people, has noisy tantrums and reduces people to tears. She’s earned the nickname “Duchess Difficult”. It’s almost as though the UK staffers were telling the truth about their mistreatment!
It’s clear these two aren’t making many friends in Hollywood and the number of people willing to dish the dirt on them is growing.

The rumours can't be squashed and they're reinforced by how many staff members keep quitting on them. It'll be interesting once the gloves finally come off. It's amazing to me that these two don't seem to understand that people talk. Treat 'em like crap and word will get out.

I doubt Harry "has no airs" as he's certainly is incredibly conscious of his status at all times from the things he's said and done which have been discussed so much here. But perhaps in comparison to Meghan he remembers to do the "I'm 'just Harry' cheeky chappy" routine or she's so allegedly difficult that he looks better in comparison. Or people think worse of a woman who was a supporting character on a cable show demanding people use her full title and acting entitled and difficult rather than a man who has been a prince and famous since before he was born? And who has more of a chance of being useful to people in the future.
Certainly the report is no surprise though. Nor am I surprised that Harry was on SS's client list before they left. We know for a fact that they were in talks with "the streamers" months before they left despite what they claimed on Oprah.
I suppose it's only a matter of time before more of these sorts of stories come from "reputable" sources in the US (as they already have in the UK). They haven't proved successful with anything apart from dishing dirt and that has a shelf life and diminishing returns. Add to that being "difficult" (to say the least apparently) and not paying their bills. Their value is rapidly going down. Unless Meghan's "cooking show" hits.

It also seems like the people you want to piss of the least is people who know how to use the media: PR people. Jesus, they are so dumb. When people in Hollywood think you're grifters, you have nowhere to go but up, right?

Now, magically, there’s an article saying that M’s staff just love her. They are the seeds which she waters. Something like that. Also, suspiciously similar to how she described herself on one of her podcast episodes. They are given gifts. One staff member got a dog and was given not just a collar and leash, but a LUXURY collar and leash. She’s just the best person who ever existed. I wonder if she stood over them while they provided their glowing tributes.

That reminds me of the weird, overly positive testimonials that $cientologists used to plant for Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.
This try-hard behavior only makes me disbelieve them more.
