SO, the Spanish royals seem to be having a terrible time of it right now. Princess Elena's son, Froilan, shot himself in the foot during a hunting accident, even though he's underage for carrying a gun. King Juan Carlos had hip replacement surgery and has been busted out for hunting elephants in Botswana alongside his mistress, who's been outed as an English-born socialite who is twice divorced and is known for being the mistress of other rich men in the past. She is known as Princess Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and she was previously the mistress of Mercedes-Benz heir Muck Flick. Oh, not to mention Princess Cristina's husband, Inaki, being busted for alleged fraud and essentially living in exile. Apparently, Queen Sofia didn't rush to her husband's side during his hip replacement surgery, instead hanging with her Greek family. I would love it if all the royal mistresses were outed - very juicy.

Yeah, tis been interesting following the news on the Spanish royals.

Juan Carlos being an honorary chairman of a WWF affiliation, one that's been fighting to protect elephants. And here the King is gone hunting for them in Botswana for a very hefty price. Both much to the dismay of the public, especially considering Spain's current economic woes & very high unemployment rate.

The marriage between Sofia and Juan Carlos has always been known to be a marriage of convenience, but it's a very clear sign how she felt about it when she waited 3 days to finally pop on over to see how he was doing.

All of this is definitely worth the label of a badly written soap.
