He did it. RFK, Jr., the vaccine skeptic, appointed Secretary of HHS. Raw milk will finally become allowed in U.S. to cross state lines (federally - states can make determinations), FDA buh-bye! I wonder how he'll go over with making school meals healthy. I remember when Michelle Obama tried that and it did NOT go over well. Will the schools have to appoint a school hunter to track and kill food to bring back to the school? That's such a plus for RFK, Jr. And if the teachers and those in their roles can't pull their weight, then "you're fired!" as Trump has instructed for teachers that don't tow the line with his rampant want to kill the Dept of Education. |

The school lunch program is under USDA/Dept of Agriculture, I believe. So he wouldn't have anything to do with school lunch if he gets HHS. I work in a related area but we're actually not allowed to touch school lunch because it's not under HHS. |

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I think it COULD happen. I don't think that 100% of Trump's picks are going to get confirmed. Your mouth - or keyboard, whatever - to God's ears. I have the barest smidgen of a whisper of a hope that Gaetz (and the other woefully unqualified people up for big positions, like Gabbard and Hegseth) will get a thumbs-down from the Senate, because it's possible that there are a (very) few GOP Senators left who want to be able to say, "See? We aren't just rubber-stamping him!" I'm not putting any faith in the R senators. Remember how some thought that Susan Collins would say no to the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh? She's not going to suddenly grow a spine. The only R that I can think of who stood up to T***p is John McCain. I'll be delighted to be wrong. |
