Ramaswamy and Musk are supposed to head the new Department of Government Efficiency, aka DOGE, which will almost certainly transfer wealth to private hands and usher in a cryptocurrency-based kleptocracy. Don't know if any of us lurk around the Reddit politics subs, but the Dr. Oz appointment sent the r/conservative sub into a meltdown. They are actively in the FO part of FAFO now.

Yeah, and I read a lot of the posts and people are basically confused by all the people that Trump has been nominating, too. Johnson's decision on the bathrooms is cruel. There's no other way to describe it. Sarah McBride's response to it is a lesson in leadership and class. I hope the US House is not the only place we see her. I think she has the potential to quietly change the world. |

To be honest with you, I'm shitting bricks around Oz. My job, though I am a Commonwealth employee, is CMS funded. State employees, participants, their families have worked really hard to have a program that is effective and supportive of individuals returning to the community over the past 13 years or so. Nursing homes are closing due to our programs. This is NOT to say that there isn't a place for long term care facilities in the spectrum. I truly believe that there are, but for a lot of people they get placed in one, lose their homes, and can never get out because all of their money goes to the facility and how do you afford first, last and to kit out your place when you get 72 bucks a month and you can't have more than 2k or you'll lose your insurance? I have serious concerns that this guy is gonna tell me that I need to tell them they don't need supportive care in the community. Because nursing home lobbies are going to fight to end our programs and others like it around the country.
