I love that Meryl Streep played herself in Stuck On You. The ending with Meryl and Greg Kinnear dancing and singing onstage in the Bonnie and Clyde musical put such a smile on my face. She's such an amazing dramatic actress, yet does light and funny very well.

According to Variety, she has signed on for the big screen version of Mama Mia! I'm so happy!! When does she start the movie with Redford and Cruise or was that just a rumour? |

Mama Mia gets a lot of shit(especially from theatre snobs). But I don't care, it's so enjoyable and entertaining. Meryl singing ABBA songs? I'm so there.
If they manage to make a good movie out of this, I think it will be huge worldwide. A few years ago ABBA were offered 1 billion dollars to do a reunion tour. They may not be that popular in the US, but they're huge internationally.

I loved her speech from a previous year, when she said "I haven't won anything since the Pleistocene Age." She's always so witty. So are the Brits - they always seem to have the most clever speeches.

It was indeed. I flove her. I totally hope she gets another Oscar, just to hear her speech. I know! I loved her speech last night. I know it was long but it was good! Charming and funny - "that's all". I also thought she looked nice too. |
