I adore her. She can do no wrong in my book. On one of the pre-shows, it showed her and her (I'm guessing teenaged) daughter interacting and you could see that they have a comfortable, loving relationship. Nice to see.

Yes, she was there with her daughter. When Guiliana was interviewing her backstage she asked her where she (the daughter) was. Meryl said something like "She's still out there. That's what happens when you win--they whisk you away from your family and you never see them again." Then she added, "If anyone sees a fifteen year old wandering around the parking lot, she's mine."

Wonderful sense of humor.

Oh, totally agree. Love Meryl but she can't dress for shit. You think playing Miranda Priestly and looking utterly fabulous in that movie would have helped her but I guess not.

In the film, the 59-year-old actress plays Donna Sheridan, the mother of the main character Sophie (Amanda Seyfried). Throughout the movie, Sophie plans to marry her fiancée Sky (Dominic Cooper), but wants to learn the identity of her father so he can give her away at the wedding.

So far, The Hollywood Reporter gave Mamma Mia! top marks, saying, “No matter how many blockbusters there are, Universal Pictures’ screen version of the global hit stage musical Mamma Mia! is the most fun to be had at the movies this or any other recent summer… And when Streep teams with [Christine Baranski and Julie Walters] for dynamic and crowd-pleasing numbers such as ‘Mamma Mia!’ ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Super Trouper,’ there’s not an audience anywhere that won’t be smiling.”
