Meryl's feuding with Karl Lagerfeld and issued this statement. I thought when I was reading it that it was some kind of satire and couldn't really be a statement from Meryl Streep. She may be in the right here, but that statement is so over the top and is making this whole thing out to be way more than it is. Also: "...on the occasion of my record-breaking 20th nomination..."

Another Liz Lemon eye-roll from me. I really really hope that Meryl hasn't been batshit all along and now she is at a point of her life where she just doesn't care. That statement is so so over the top. Karl is also batshit but I wouldn't be surprised if he were telling the truth about her wanting to be paid to wear one of his gowns. Stars, they're just like us.

Whoa, this is nuts! I like her generally, but I kind of hope they both attend and get into a brawl in which they roll into the legs of someone I don't like, (Tom Cruise would do, but will he be there?), and knock them down.
Where is her dignity? Or her publicist's dignity?

I think Karl was pissed off that she chose to wear another designer's dress after they already customized one for her. It's something some actresses do, but it's incredibly rude and there are consequences for screwing someone over (i.e., they aren't going to like you).
And then Karl mouthed off about it and said it was about money just because that's often the case when there is a greedy stylist running the show.
But in any event, it's a spat about a dress. Meryl needs to save the outrage for Trump and not get all incensed about her stylist being defamed.

Enough with the political outrage from celebrities, it's getting rote and tedious. That message is already out there, multiple times over and the majority are on board. (Tonight's Oscars will be another case in point, so I plan to switch to The Walking Dead after the opening monologue.) I want feuds over dresses, movie roles, opinion pieces in the tabloids, She said/He said stuff. Fun stuff to snark about, from entertainers.

I hope Karl or someone calls her a "phoney baloney".

I find Lagerfeld such a loathsome, leathery troll that too many celebs are afraid of pissing off.
So I'm kind of okay with him getting called out by someone more powerful than he is if the collateral damage is Meryl bitching about a dress.

Yep, definite phoney baloney...... let us not forget that time Meryl lead the standing ovation for child rapist Roman Polanski (sorry if this was already pointed out).

(back on Page 8) On a much lighter note (mostly), Meryl sits down with Anna Wintour in an Interview / Spoof of The Devil Wears Prada, and discuss Katherine Graham, the current harrassment battles, feminism, motherhood, the power of the press and the future Presidency. (Either the link is broken, or my computer is acting up. Here is another link. I also spotted it on Facebook, too.
