IMDb says their daughter was born 10/95, so she only just turned 10...it's so sad that they can't act like two mature adults and be civil for her sake. I don't even want to think how torn up she must be about this.

Their custody battle makes me sad for their daughter. What an ugly, ugly mess. It's too bad they can't get their act together for the sake of their child. I enjoy both of them as performers but I'm starting to think rather poorly of them as people.

I think Kim Basinger is still incredibly gorgeous. She projects an interesting mix of sensuality and vulnerability. Kim's not the greatest actress but she's got alot of screen presence and I've seen her give some very sensitive portrayals.

I read somewhere that the book about Alec was a big lie. I believe the "lady" has written others. This was a few years ago so, of course I don't have the source.

As for Kim herself, I've always heard she was a total diva back in the day, when she was poised for mega-stardom, and only calmed down after making a bunch of bombs and getting her ass sued off by a director in the mid-1990s. So, no love here. I do think her ex-husband is a bigger creep than she is, though

ITA. They probably deserved each other back then - wasn't there a big ruckus about them being major divas on the set of The Marrying Man? I think Kim was the first sleb for whom I heard the washes-hair-with-only-Evian story (which must be an urban legend because I've heard this as proof of divadom for lots of other actresses since).

And yeah, she was gorgeous, but I think my dental floss is smarter than she is. Alec Baldwin is one of the galaxy's biggest assholes but I don't think he's stupid, and he's really into politics. It wasn't gonna last.
