I could tell he was better this year too. Nonetheless, I got sad because I just know there are young teenagers watching this now thinking, "Who is the mumbling old guy and what is he doing hosting a 'Rocking' New Years' Eve special?" I mean you can tell them about his importance to rock and roll history, but they probably won't get it.

I really have to give the guy credit for appearing this year and last. We too commented how much better he looked and sounded this year. I remember watching every New Years and watching Bandstand as a kid as well.
