I think she's very lucky to have two. While I feel really did deserve the Oscar for Boys Don't Cry, I'm very surprised the Academy actually realised this too, given some of their other choices lately . In contrast for M$B I feel she was very lucky. In another year against a stronger field I doubt she would have won.

I can't work out whether its because she makes incredibly bad choices or if it is because she doesn't make that many movies; that these two performances stand out so much.

I really like her. She seems nice and down to earth, and I didn't mind her Academy Award speech at all. I did think in both roles she has one for she was absolutely stellar so it doesn't bother me she has 2 statues. Though it bothers me Meryl ONLY has 2 statues, but that's a topic for another thread...

I think she's become a pretty good actor in the last few years, but I remember her on 90210 and remember thinking how BAD she was. Does anyone else remember that? I remember thinking how desperate Aaron Spelling was when he hired her as an actress. or wait... maybe it was Melrose Place. Either one... it's been so long now, she SUCKED!

I don't remember her in 90210. But I do remember The Next Karate Kid, hahaha.

She was awful in "The Core", but then it was an awful movie. But I cried at the end of both Million Dollary Baby and Boys Don't Cry.

Wow, I know most people find her unattractive but I just don't. She's not drop-dead gorgeous like some women in Hollywood but boy, she's pretty and she has beautiful, feminine body.
She looks pretty great in almost every outfit she puts on.
It's a bummer that they are divorcing because they seemed like a down to earth couple who really seemed to care about each other. I just wish he found more success, maybe then the balance wouldn't have been so tipped in her favor.
