Bumping her thread because of this: Anne Hathaway calls out paparazzi with bikini photo

“Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends!” Hathaway wrote in the picture’s caption, before explaining why she put the image online. “So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter.”

Good for her. Honestly, in this day and age where we can pretty much see celeb's life in real time on social media, I hope paparazzi are becoming less relevant.

I actually think social media has gone hand in hand with an increase in demand for paparazzi photos (from all of the various print gossip magazines plus a zillion blogs and online publications). It's all about quantity these days.

The first reaction my snarky black heart had when I saw this was to doubt whether there were any paparazzi at all on that beach. It's just as likely that she posted that just to bump herself up in the headlines, nothing more.

I would have been more charitable with another celeb, but she's proven to be a complete famewhore, so I wouldn't put it past her.

I saw photos on DailyMail, so I don't think she was lying. She looks pretty far along, so she was able to hide it for a pretty long time. She looks good.
