I thought he deserved his own thread. Haha. Has anyone been watching TV this weekend? It's been an all out Keanu fest! I finally got to see some of his movies that I hadn't caught before. He was all kinds of hot in Something's Gotta Give. The long hair suits him!

You future WHAT!?!?!?!? You mean gay Keanu? Please...the guy's even more asexual than Tom Cruise. I'd be surprised if he's even had sex.
Why, oh why, does that guy have a career?

Actually he's my future baby daddy. I shall make sure that he has a decent pair of shoes and combs his hair when he leaves the house.
I can understand the asexual vibe, though. He's so private and such a loner. You never really seem him with anyone, man or woman, for any length of time. Some of his fan sites have candid pics of him with various women, but honestly some of them are so homely that I have a hard time believing that he's having sex with them. Not that homely chicks don't need love too! ;D
Keanu has been terrible in films like Dracula but he's turned in some terrific performances too. He's got nothing to be ashamed of acting wise.

I loves me some Keanu and I'm not afraid to say it. Or shout it. Or bellow it from mountain tops. Seriously, the guy seems so genuinely nice (not that faux-genuinely nice that's been going around *ahemGhoulia*) that I can't hold anything against it. Is he this generation's Gregory Peck? Probably not. Well, just not. I don't think he's nearly as bad an actor as his reputation would imply. If you can get past the stagey voice and watch him work, he's often not bad at all.

See, I think there are necessary stages that all people of good taste must go through to become Keanu fans. They're not set in stone, but go something like this:
1. You think he's good looking, but mediocre at best as an actor. You totally believe the conventional wisdom that he's a stupid stoner dude.
2. You see him in something, some singular role or scene that makes you take notice. For me it was the first Matrix.
3. Out of curiousity, you google his name. Or read about him on a message board.
4. As you read about him, you discover that he's actually no dummy, that he's incredibly generous but it's not publicized (you have to dig to learn about the insane amount of money he funneled back to the Matrix crew), you find out all the tragedy he's had in his life without spilling the beans to Oprah for sympathy or attention.
5. You read reports over and over again from his co-stars and colleagues about how kind and generous and smart and supportive he is.
6. You begin to believe that he's a Saint.
7. You realize he's just a regular guy who hasn't let the fame or money get to his head. He's got some ::gulp:: integrity.
8. Next time you see him in a movie, either a) your blinders are off and you can see through the preconceived notions to appreciate that he actually has put in some good performances or b) you just love him so much your bias convinces you he's a good, charismatic actor that many "just don't get." or c) you don't care about the acting, you just want to sex him up.
9. You want to be his baby's mama.

For me, it was Constantine, roowrrr. I watched his movies and all but just never paid attention until that one. He's aging gracefully, at least on film. And now after watching Constantine I notice his films are all. over. the damn. TV. Hey, Speed's on FX right now....ta ta!

I am a Keanu Defender. I'm thinking about getting No Keanu, No Peace and Know Keanu, Know Peace on my van's license plate frame. I know he's not Brando or DeNiro but he doesn't have to be. He's full of Keanu goodness, kind, sweet, humble, private.
When people say he's dumb or gay or a terrible actor, I don't care. Geena Davis was a member of Mensa and won an Oscar but where is her career now? If he is gay, more power to him but I've heard that he's sweet to his girlfriends. Terrible actors,Dolph Lungren or Paulie Shore, don't have careers in Hollywood for twenty years.
As for his being asexual, I know he had sex with Jennifer Syme at least one time since she gave birth to their still born daughter Ava.

Y'know, I watched Matrix Revolutions for the 2nd time the other day and realized I had blocked out the sex scene between Neo and Trinity (because the first time I saw it was in a 5 story IMAX and nobody looks good with three foot diameter pores, yo).
I was kind of disappointed. His face looked...oddly not that sexy while hovering over Carrie Ann at the end of their tryst. Then again nobody really looks good in that position I suppose.
