I've only seen Love Story and I wasn't too impressed. However, she is truly beautiful and has aged so well. I can't believe she is nearly seventy! : I tried to find a photo that wasn't air-brushed to the hilt : I think she looks wonderful.

Damn she looks great for her age. I always thought Angie Harmon is like a younger Ali.

It took me the longest time to realize this thread wasn't about Ally Sheedy. Anyway, Ali does look good for her age.

Um, i think that she looks almost 70. She clearly smoked a lot, given those wrinkles.

Anybody who hasn't been Botoxed to death is going to have lines/wrinkles at 70 years old. It's just surprising to see someone who aged naturally.

Um, i think that she looks almost 70. She clearly smoked a lot, given those wrinkles. Wow. You must have some amazing looking people in your family. She doesn't look even CLOSE to 70 to me. IMO, she looks like a woman in her late 50s. I think one of reason she looks as good as she does is her lovely bone structure. I've never liked her as an actress but I did read something about her that made me like her a little bit as a person. She said that after Steve McQueen cheated on her she realized how much pain she caused other people (like her husband at the time, Robert Evans) when she had her affair with McQueen. It's just nice when people develop an awareness of how their choices affect other people, even if it's just in retrospect.

Maybe I do have some amazing looking people in my family--my mom is 60 and she isn't anywhere near as wrinkled. Honestly I think that Ali looks older because she's so thin (and naturally so). I'm not saying that she isn't attractive--she just looks her age.

I agree with jaghetersimon. My mom and her sisters are all in their fifties and none of them have wrinkles like that. My grandma does though. Just a comparison. Here's my family.

I thought she was perfectly cast in "Goodbye Columbus," as the slightly snobbish Jewish princess. It remains one of my favorite movies.

I have to agree with jaghetersimon. Her skin looks rough. I read her biography and she had a severe alcohol problem for years. Like black out and wake up with strangers severe. That, excessive tanning (She was very much into sun-worshipping) and smoking have taken a toll on her skin.
I don't have any exceptional looking elderly people in my family, but they are much less wrinkled than Ali. Probably because they didn't smoke, didn't excessively drink and for the most part avoided the sun.
Just sayin'.
