I've always thought she is plain as hell.

Of course, I think the same about Angie "Man Face" Harmon and I've heard Angie compared to Ali lots of times, so there you go.

One thing I do like about Ali is that she did a piece for InStyle magazine in which she talked about her career, and she spoke about some Aaron Spelling show ("Dynasty"?) that she was on. She admitted she looked weird and everyone hated how she dressed but at least she made a lot of money. Ahh, honesty. Good for you, Ali!

She is quite natural although she said after her marriage to Steve McQueen she had to get some kind of brow lift or whatever surgery takes away frown lines and those angry lines between her eyes (this was pre-botox) because marriage to him was so stressful.

I love the way she dresses so simply. I even like the pony tail that she wears all the time. Many older women in Hollywood (Goldie Hawn, etc.) just want to keep dressing so youthful. Ali looks like an elegant older woman.

A propos of nothing, I always enjoy following her yoga video. Beautiful scenery.

I also recently watched The Kid Stays in the Picture, which is all about Robert Evans. Despite the fact that she left Robert for Steve, he didn't sound bitter at all.

I think that girl from The Fast and the Furious looks like Ali when she was young- Jordana Brewster? I saw some pics of her in a magazine and it was astounding the similarity.

In some photographs, MacGraw does indeed look plain, but in others, she's beautiful, in an unpretentious sort of way. She makes me think of Candice Bergen. Bergen was also supposed to be a pretty bad actress when she started out, but she really came in to her own with Murphy Brown. Perhaps if MacGraw hadn't jettisoned her career, she could've found a similar niche.

I guess it's what you are used to. My mum is 67 and she has a lot less wrinkles than Ali. And my mum never had anything done either, unlike Ali. I definitely think Ali looks 70.

Perhaps so, but she seems comfortable with her appearance, and that's refreshing. I read that she refused to have a crooked front tooth fixed, and this is back when she was still a star.

Boring. I never saw the pretty. Or the interesting. She is not charismatic. As they'd say on America's next top model, she's very cataloguey.
