Yeah, Jeff is looking rather old, considering how hot he was for so long....
His nephew, Beau's son, Jordan Bridges, is on NBC's Conviction.

Love him and I think he's still sexy. In fact, I've had a crush on him since I was 12 and saw him play Sally Fields' frustrated husband-to-be in Kiss me Goodbye, dealing with the ghost of her dead husband (James Caan). That film is such a guilty pleasure.
Starman is a great film but, imo, NOTHING beats the sexiness of Jagged Edge. Love him, love the story, love Glenn Close, love everything about it, including him riding a white horse in an open-necked shirt. MMmmmmmm!
Other films of his that I've really enjoyed: Tucker: The Man and the Dream; and the soapy See you in the Morning (w/ Alice Krige, a young Drew Barrymore, Farah Fawcett & Frances Somethingoranother). He's pretty good in Arlington Road too, although Tim Robbin's creepy character really stole the movie.
I just realised that if I hadn't gone back and reviewed/edited my post, almost every other sentence would have the word "love" in it. At least once if not twice or three times! <gulp> I guess I'm passionate about him. I just wish he got more recognition for his talent and abilities.

In terms of hotness, not much can match the American Heart poster: Exhibit A

Was American Heart the movie where he played a homeless dad and his son was that boy from Terminator 2? If it is wow. I don't remember him looking like that.
Against All Odds is still my favorite. God, did he just ooze deliciousness. Yummy!

Yup, you've got the right movie. The poster does capture a hotness that in the movie is more subdued by the character and the situation. Mary Ellen Mark worked on the film, and I'm pretty sure she took the poster photo, which says a lot since she's an amazing photographer.

I love Jeff Bridges in pretty much everything, with one notable exception. Did anyone else see that woeful movie The Vanishing, with Kiefer Sutherland as JB's co-star? It was a crappy Hollywood version of a much better Dutch film. Anyway, Bridge's character, inexplicably, had this weird babyfied voice and terrible hair, and seemed to be sucking on a lemon with this bizarre lip-pursing move. Irritating and distracting and unnecessary to the plot.

I beg to differ. Jeff may not be the chiseled hunk he used to be, but IMO he's still hotter than a lot of guys half his age. I have much more respect for stars like Jeff Bridges who age gracefully than those like, say, Kenny Rogers, who become plastic shadows of their former selves.
He was great in that movie, too. >>Shame his character was the bad guy.<<
That's Frances Sternhagen.

I think I am the only person who kind of liked The Vanishing. That said, I never saw the original French (?) film.
He was good as the president in The Contender with Joan Allen. I think he got an Oscar nod for that one.
