Trevor Noah was doing press at the TCA last week, and it sounded like he'll continue to have media criticism but maybe focus less on Fox News and CNN and more on online "news" sites like Buzzfeed.
I've been a fan of Jon Stewart's since I saw him screwing around with one of his friends at the Comedy Cellar back in 1992 (I was 19 and thought he was really cute), so I'm really curious as to what he'll do next.

Of course one of his best works was "MTV's 25 Lamest" with Janeane Garofalo, Chris Kattan and Denis Leary.

So my Jon Stewart story...during the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston, he did The Daily Show at Boston University that week. My friend was working there and was put in charge of volunteers and she asked me if I wanted to do that. Hell yes! I was in charge of the audience stand by list. The last night of the show, I saw him come out of a side door with a couple of people and he went up to the standby line and gave out ice cream sandwiches to every person in it. I fake yelled at him that he was screwing up my line and he was like "OMG I'll just be a minute!!" It was pretty funny. Such a cool guy. I got to go into the theater all 4 nights to watch the show. The last night as my friend and I were standing there off to the side, Lewis Black was standing there. My friend LOVES Lewis Black and she was too nervous to say anything so I went up to him and said hi, enjoyed his stuff, and by the way, my friend over there is TOO NERVOUS to meet you." So he went over to where she was standing and he signed her clipboard "This clipboard is stupid." Ha!! That was a fun week.

I just used to see him all the time at Cosí in New York in the village. He always seemed quiet and thoughtful.

"25 Lame" was one of the best and most bizarre viewing experiences I've ever had.
I'm going to miss John. It's the end of an era indeed.

Oh man... I am going to miss him so much. I am watching last nights show now. He really did bring joy and laughter into my life (part of my weekday ritual, a morning coffee and Daily Show). I saw him/the Daily Show live last year. It was so amazing, and I remember thinking: wow- that guy has so much charisma. Whhaaa what will become of us all?? ;p I will miss watching him very much. (It's just really hitting me now that he is really leaving)

I'm going to miss him too, but he was getting burnt out. Politics, society and humanity seem to get worse and worse. It's enough to make you bitter. Of course, I've been bitter for years!

This Crossfire episode that featured Jon, where he eviscerates Tucker Carlson, is a thing of beauty. We are SO missing you already, Jon!
