He used to gross me out when he was on "A Current Affair," he always had this smirk on his face.

Just from the sleazy topics on the show named after him, one can tell he's a freak daddy. Interestingly enough, I was watching his and Connie's fake bantering a couple of weeks ago and thought, "Maury looks like a freak daddy."

What's with these guys? Jerry Springer and his prostitutes, Geraldo the serial cheater, Bill O'Reilly and his loofa. Is Phil Donahue the only clean (former) talk show host (male, anyway)? At least Larry King always married all his women (ha).
ETA: Is it wrong for me to giggle during these paternity shows? Just turned it on to check it out - some chick with a bunch of kids - husband not the father of several. She's crying up a storm, and I'm giggling. The worst part though is how Maury emphasizes the words YOU. ARE. ... NOT the father. Sheesh, drama.

Hell no. They're the highlight of my TV viewing. I even cried a little last week when this young guy who seemed like such a great boyfriend and father found out that he wasn't the father and was absolutely devastated. He was crying and promising that the kid was still his little boy and he'd still be a part of his life and suddenly I was crying too. It was tragic.

To be fair, whenever I've seen one of those boot camp shows and there were plenty of boys featured as the out of control teens.
I've never seen Rosie say that, and I watched her show all the time. In the documentary she made about the cruises, Parker looks white as white can get, and her daughter Chelsea is also blonde and blue eyed. The foster kid she had was Hispanic but that's the one she sent back because of behavioral problems.

A recent one really pissed me off-he had abusive husbands on, and they would totally berate and humiliate their wives, hit them, cheat on them, make slaves out of them. Instead of helping the women to LEAVE these assholes, he had a drill sergeant take the guys to a morgue, and then a funeral home where they had the women lying in the caskets or something, to shock the guys. Yeah, I'm SURE that's gonna help. The guys were all, "oh baby, I'm sorry!" That's gonna last about five minutes. Oh! I saw that episode! I never watch this show, but channel 6 comes in on the radio here (88.9 or something like that) and I happened to flip to it that day and listened to it my whole drive home and then turned it on once I got home. I was seething with anger during it. Maury seemed very hesitant to recognize the severity of what was going on. The women described being beaten and instances of martial rape in addition to the psychological abuse they had experienced, and he was basically downplaying it and focusing on how the husbands controlled what the women wore and how much spending money they got. These families needed intensive interventions and he brought in the ex-con to scare the husbands straight and I can't imagine that it had an impact a day after the show, let alone long term. I was so disgusted that I went to the website to try to find contact information to complain, but the website is busy and annoying to navigate and I just gave up. I'm now inspired to try again...The level of sensationalism and lack of real help was just disgusting.

She didn't say that on her show. She was being questioned on how easily she was able to adopt infants, and she shot back with the fact that wannabe adoptive parents need to look away from children who are white. That's when she said that her child was mixed with black. Plus, I did see the child on that promo for her cruise, and he does appear "all" white, but I have seen some blond children, with mixed (black) heritage to know that you can't go by looks, just check out Donna Summer and Victoria Rowell's oldest daughters.
Again proving that Rosie was looking outside the box to get her a child without waiting for eternity, for a white infant. Which proves that you can get a baby, without needing to go the private route and forsaking minority babies, which Connie, a minority herself, did.
It has all of the markings of a publicity stunt, but I'm doubting it sense the law is involved. However, you have got to wonder how carefree it appears Connie and Maury are taking this situation.

Slightly OT, but I saw Connie Chung on "The Colbert Report" and I thought she came across as a total idiot. Just plain dumb. She basically sat there and giggled.

My God, I started the Maury Povich AND the Flavor Flav threads?! I don't want to know what that says about me.

Could it be that it says you're one of many curators of Pop Culture?
Heh.
What happened with the suit? Does anyone know?
