I don't like her and I think her acting is ok. There are a lot of great actresses out there that can act better than her. I just don't see why she's anything special at all.

Jane Fonda needs to spend the next few years of her life examining the idea of KARMA. Look, I know it was a long time ago, and I'm sure she's changed her mind about 1000 things since then. But there are some things in life you just can't take back. Even if you apologize decades later. And demonizing US troops (who were primarily drafted and under 21) is one of those things. Giving aid and succor to the enemy is another.
I've always been extremely 'meh' about her as an actress, but as an individual, I think she's completely soulless and simply morphs into whatever personna is needed at the moment. Someone mentioned it earlier: sex kitten, activist, trophy wife. Now she's gonna be the mil from Hell. Can you imagine the kind of controlling, interfering grandmother she's going to be???

Why is Troy (I'm guessing she has only one son) allowing his mother to pick out rings for his engagement? Is he a man or a piece of cheese? If I were the bride-to-be, I'd bail now because this situation will only get worse.

I don't think she is an interfering gran with her daughter's kids, because I don't think Vanessa, Jane's daughter would go for it. But Jane's son Troy seems to be a big mama's boy. Jane was referring to his fiancee as her "future daughter in law" and "My son's fiancee" way before the girl was even engaged to Troy. Sounds like JAne forced Troy into proposing. I do know Troy was engaged once before.
I also think it is a bad sign that Jane is picking out the engagement ring. That poor fiancee of Troy's.

I thought I remembered hearing something a while back about Troy being gay? Just me? Anyone else? Bueller?

He's not gay, but he did play a transexual's lover in one film he did. I just don't understand why he didn't pick out the engagement ring. That's weird, but then I have seen some rather shall we say, "interesting" pics of him kissing all over his mother in a way that most grown men wouldn't do.

The sound of her voice is like nails on freaking chalkboard.

Count me in as one of those thinking it rather off she is so involved in her son's engagement. I saw a clip of her at the Blood Diamond premiere and she said that when her son made it known he was going to marry, she called up the film's producer, who is a friend of hers and asked her, what diamond should she and her son get. That creeped me out and it should creep out her son's fiancee.

Ewww, she said that? If she's that close just over a ring, imagine what else she wants to get involved in.

I think she also chose the engagement ring as well.
