Chaka Khan's 27-year-old son is on trial for shooting a 17 year old rapper in the face with an assault rifle, killing him. They both lived with her, as did the son's 5-year-old and his girlfriend. She is scheduled to continue testifying in his trial, with her cross-examination to begin tomorrow.

That's a pretty sad state of affairs. I thought she lived in London, I didn't realize she'd moved back to the US. It's too bad people only know her from that "Chaka Khan, Chaka Khan" song instead of all the good music she made with Rufus.

She joined Prince on stage in a gig Prince did in London. 1999. No I wasn't there but I saw it on tape or TV. She rocked. He rocked. And together it was diamond. |

This is why 5-year-olds should not have girlfriends. Only if one presumes that the 5-year-old is a male or that a 5-year-old, whether male or female, shouldn't have friends who are girls. |

I was saddened to learn that Chaka is a Scieno. I wonder if her son had a Scieno upbringing/education.
