I haven't read any official reviews, but some of the people who attended the premiere made some comments about it, and it seems like the movie is "Meh" at best. It sounds like it is a poorly written mess - they use flashforwards in a way that doesn't make sense and the characters aren't that likable.
They did say that the movie mostly centers around Diane and that is a good thing because she's the best part about the movie.

Diane Keaton was interviewed by Diane Sawyer on GMA and -- praise be to live TV[/color] -- got so caught up in the conversation that she let the F-word slip out. It was actually refreshing to hear people talk like they talk in real life.

For those who want to see another side to Diane's (flighty) acting, check her out in Reds. She blew me away, after I'd given up on her being anything but one-dimensional. I was really touched by her character's passion and struggle. Plus she's not always likeable in the role. Anyway, I have much more respect for her acting now.

She was terrific in Something's Gotta Give. So true. I am still shaking my head over the Keanu/Jack Nicholson situation.

She should have had them rewrite the ending to Something's Gotta Give, I would have loved to see her stay with Dr. Julian. Me too. The ending of Something's Gotta Give really pissed me off. It felt sexist. Just because she's a woman she has to end up with the sleezy, dirty man because he's her age. Well, the ending they went with was certainly more plausible than a Diane-Keanu ending (or a Jack-Amanda ending). In May-December relationships there are always imbalances and incompatibilities. If you don't adequately address those in a story, it may be fun, but it won't be believable. If Diane had ended up with Keanu, you know that she would have spent the rest of her life worrying about being left for a younger woman. And they made it plausible that although Jack's character was in many ways an oaf, he had many of the same life experiences as Diane's character simply because they lived through the same period in history -- same music, literature, art, historic events. Both Diane's character and Jack's character were rough around the edges (admittedly his more than hers) and turned off by each other, but eventually they saw beyond the rough edges to the qualities that had attracted Keanu and Amanda, respectively. It was a plausible, if not satisfying, ending.

I just thought she and Nicholson had a hell of a lot of chemistry while she and Keanu had zip. If there'd been any heat between she and the doctor I would have been disappointed in the ending, but they were so 'meh' together. I recall reading an interview with Keaton where she even said she felt squicked out kissing Keanu, and personally I thought that transferred to the screen.
That said, the first time I saw SGG, I hate, hate, hated it. Then I watched it a second time knowing what I was getting into (and with my mother, which probably helped) and enjoyed the hell out of it. Go figure.

Although she only had a couple of brief scenes, Frances McDormand did a great job -- as usual. That's the mark of a great character actor: she/he not only can carry a leading role but also can bring even a small part to life. There are a lot of young "stars" in Hollywood who would disappear in a supporting role.
