My guess is that the pool of young women lusting after Keanu is greater than that lusting after Jack. Sure, but in terms of the characters they played in the film, Jack was a womanizer who only dated young women, wouldn't even let them stay the night if they had sex...etc. |

Jack was a womanizer who only dated young women, wouldn't even let them stay the night if they had sex...etc. That fact would seem to support my argument -- that is, Jack's sexist womanizer character (on the surface) would be less-attractive to women (of all ages) than Keanu's sensitive character, if they had a choice between the two. |

Well sure, but you made the point that Diane would be more worried about being left for someone younger with Keanu than with Jack which doesn't make sense given their respective characterizations in the film. Jack was a womanizer who only dated young women and he dated a lot of them. Keanu was a sweet doctor who wanted to be in a relationship.
That I personally can't see why any women would want to be with the Jack womanizer character is irrelevant. In the film, they did. He dated a lot of young women, that was made very clear.

Funny but I can't picture Diane living in CA ever. She just screams New Yorker to me. Although for all I know that's where she does spend most of her time.

She was on Letterman recently and said she was born and raised in CA but moved to NY when she decided to act. Only lived there about 10 years.
