About 7 years ago, The Husband-Type Man and I moved to Philly for my school. He was working in Princeton, so I dropped him off at work one day and had to run a couple stocking-the-apartment errands. I ended up at the K-Mart, amongst the aisles of Martha Stewart Living stuff. And I had to call THTM because I was quickly convulsed with uncontrollable laughter at the... fuzzy lime-green toilet seat covers and bath-mat sets. Because, like, when Mrrtha decorates her 200 year old Connecticut farmhouse, she only uses the BEST fuzzy lime-green toilet-seat covers-

Yeah, he didn't understand why I was in such hysterics over it, either, but still!

I don't like her. The woman's a proven criminal, and now people are fawning all over her again. It's disgusting. She should've rotted in jail a while longer.

I love Martha. I wouldnt want to work for the crazy bitch but I love watching her on tv. And while I do think she deserved to go to prison, I also think that if she had a been a male CEO of a major company she would have gotten off with no jail time. Now that she has served her time why should she not go back to the successful career.

I reserve my hatred for the murderers and pedophiles who got away with their crimes. And "doctors" who give out crap advice while they peddle their weightloss books.

I am just loving her version of The Apprentice. She's trying so hard to be nice, but her bitchiness tends to slip out. My faves are her eyerolls and snarky looks at the idiot contestants. When she fired Shawn, I replayed her eyeroll, headshake, and "ay yi yi" about 20 times, laughing each time I played it. Tivo has got to be the world's greatest invention.

I am loving Martha's Apprentice! I totally agree with you, Sbeet, about Martha trying so hard to be nice on that show and not being completely successful! You can tell she doesn't suffer famewhores lightly, and it just cracks me up. "Women in business don't cry, my dear." I use that here at work now all the time. ;D

Did anyone happen to catch Martha's daytime show last week when Shawn was a guest? Shawn was so obnoxious and trying to be all cute about getting fired for saying "fake it 'til you make it," and Martha said something like, "Well, you weren't very creative anyway, Shawn." She shut Shawn down at every turn and it was awesome. I can't believe I like Martha Stewart, but, God help me, I do!

I also really like Martha's apprentice, she's so much more interesting than Trump. But why isn't it doing better? It seems like the people who have actually seen it like it.

I don't know why but I really like Martha and I want her to succeed. I barely knew who she was before her trial, but now I really want her to do well. And I agree with whoever said that if she had been a famous male CEO they wouldn't have been as tough on her. I also like that she provides a sort of counterweight to Oprah. Martha was the first self-made woman billionaire after all. Plus I love it when she let's her bitchy side slip out.

I may be one of the few who are watching, but I am liking Martha's Apprentice much better than Donald Trump's. I like how her tasks have something to do with MSO instead of stupid endorsement-related crap like DT.
