I watched the Netflix documentary about her last night. I was not going to watch live election results, that was for sure.
I liked it a lot! Martha generally comes across as I think most people already know her to be: very strict and probably a bit meaner to underlings than she needs to be, but smart as hell and tough as nails. The doc repeated over and over again that she didn't do anything that men in business don't do, but because her image is as Miss Perfect, people loved to see her fall from grace. And it made her reinvention of herself all the better. She's kind of taken her previous Miss Perfect image and blended it with "sexy octogenarian" and "unapologetic badass who is friends and smoke session buddies with Snoop." Her old self is still there, but it has become a more tongue-in-cheek version. She's in on the joke, and it's great.
And wow, James Comey. I didn't see that coming. That guy does really love to take down powerful women.
