This is exactly what I think. She's never presented herself as some kind of fuzzy warm maternal type. She runs a gigantic business, and no one bats an eyelash when a man behaves the way she does.

I worked with her and her staff on an event, she wasn't particularly nice to me, was super intimidating to a coworker, almost cancelled on us completely, and I STILL love her. (As an aside, her staff were all so incredibly awesome and nice, probably to make up for her.)

Further proof of Martha's awesomeness is that she doesn't care at all about the book. In fact, she was tweeting about it and saying people should go out and buy it.

That is seriously my favorite part of her show. I remember one time she had Snoop Dogg on and they were joking around about her keeping one of the members of Snoop's entourage. When they panned over to the guy, his mouth was like, "Heh heh, I'd love to stay with you Martha," but the look on his face was pure OH GOD NO PLEASE DON'T LET HER HAVE ME I'LL DO ANYTHING JUST SAVE ME PLEEEASE.

I love her too. I admire her for building her business, and for not really shrinking from the bitch rep. But I also love that she can get loose. For example, she's in my top five Conan O'Brien guests. They have great chemistry, and she always seems game for whatever stupid shit they ask her to do. She ate a Taco Bell burrito and drank from a 40 for him.

I wouldn't want top work for her, but I still love her.

Exactly. It seems like what you see is what you get with Martha. She does not f*&# around pretending to be lovey-dovey. I'm sure she has some sort of persona that she adopts when in public, but for me it is refreshing that she knows what she wants (power, money, an empire and a kick-ass house) and that she doesn't hide her ambition.

He photographed her for the Fall issue of Porter magazine and she actually selected him from a list of photographers to do the shoot.

Porter explains: "It is the first time these two controversy-hounds have met but it is, like so much in Stewart's life, no accident. After debating over a long list of photographers, America's house-mother superior insisted that Richardson shoot her. 'Oh, he is cute,' she will say later, when he comes to say goodbye."
