Alexis is divorced and she once dated a guy that later dated her mom, but I'm not sure of her current status.

Alexis has been known for being less than pleasant forever, so I'm not sure it's the fertility treatments. I believe she said she only started to try to have a baby once she was in her 40s, and the stories have been around about her for decades.

ETA: Why do I seem to know so much about the daughter of a celebrity? I need to go read a book or something.

Even Tim Gunn described her as extremely bitter, nasty and unpleasant. I don't remember his exact words, but I do remember he was very critical of her in his book.

I was so sorry to hear about Big Martha's passing- she was the single greatest reminder to me that Martha the Younger is actually a human being.

I thought Alexis married someone who had formerly dated her mother? I remember thinking it must have been a real slap in the face to her mother. It also struck me as a huge dis that they eloped or at least had a really tiny wedding (seeing as Martha would probably have gotten her jollies from styling her own daughers wedding). Maybe I just have my facts wrong...

More of Martha's teenage years...the National Enquirer site teasing a non-scandalous interview with her high school boyfriend in the latest issue:

“I was a star center and lineback­er on the football team, but I was a senior and Martha was a freshman.

By then Sam was a junior at Penn State.

I don't think I'm fooled by Martha, but it seems tacky. So tacky, that the tabloids could feast off of it for many years to come, but it didn't really do that.

That's another thing that is weird about the situation.

Man, Martha is so organized in her public life but her private life sounds like a disordered mess. What the heck.

He said they're very Grey Gardens. They can't stand each other but their lives revolve around each other. He made Alexis sound very nasty and spoiled.

There was also a funny story about Martha bitching at him because he brought a Diet Coke to her studio. Apparently she hates diet soft drinks so much that she doesn't even want them on the premises.
