That said, I'm probably in the minority that think the Dieter movie would've been funny. No, you're not. I'm happy as a leetle girl! Touch my monkey. Liebe meine abschminke. /high school Deutsch spelling I also love Simon and his "draw-rings". My best friend and I probably quoted Mike Myers more than anyone else in HS. Good times.

The kid in the bathtub thing? Maybe I'm trying to imbue something with more subtext than it was ever meant to have... But was the "Are you looking at my bum?!?" thing that he always came out with supposed to indicate that he'd been messed with sexually? I know that's a little heavy for SNL stuff, but it always creeped me out. Why was this fictional kid so concerned that people were inappropriately checking him out...?
god, I hope this post doesn't end up at the top of the page...
And count me in on being sick to death of the Scottish accent. I also heard that story about how he demanded to do his Shrek voice work completely over again because he decided he just had to do it in the lame ol' Scottish accent.

He's done the Scottish voice to death, but I am glad he demanded to redo Shrek- I could not imagine Shrek's voice any other way. And this is coming from someone who has to watch either Shrek movie every.single.day. due to her toddler's overwhelming love for Shrek.
ETA: I always thought that Robin was gorgeous and thought more of Mike for not picking a Hollywood lollipop head. Oh well.

I read the screenplay for the aborted Sprockets movie online a few years ago, and it was *hilarious*. And smart, with lots of references/allusions to German film, etc. So naturally it got dumped and we got Goldmember instead, because poo jokes always sell. I dunno... I love me some Sprockets (He loves me! He loves my caribou!), but what's funny in a three-minute skit might be become tiresome (*rimshot*) in a full flick. Of course, I still would've seen it! "Dwanollah" came from the episode of CoffeeTalk with Madonna and Rosanne. Gads, that was funny. And as I've mentioned before, Mike playing Mick and Mick playing Keith was HYSTERICAL. I now realize I haven't liked much of what he did since SNL. Except for the Hurricane Katrina thing with Kanye.

I always liked that skit he did on SNL with Nicole Kidman where he was a HyperHypo and they harnessed him to the jungle gym. Oh, I forgot all about that-I LOVED that one! Doesn't he always eventually pull the jungle gym out of the ground and run away with it? I saw one with Kim Basinger, but I liked the Nicole one best. Here it is!I liked "Wayne's World", although I always preferred Garth. I love how his collie had the matching mullet.

God, I love Sprockets too. And Coffee Tawk. And I had NO IDEA about the caribou thing. I almost feel special! ;D

Yes, after Nicole shares her chocolate with him. They were both really cute in that skit.

Here it is!I STILL quote from this skit and NO ONE gets it. I say, "I"m a robot. I'm talking like a robot," in Nicole's "robot" voice. I crack myself up but everyone around me looks at me like I'm just nuts. Ok, maybe I am...

I scrupulously avoided everything MM ever did because he just seemed like the sort of comedian I despise. Through a variety of circumstances I ended up seeing all three Austin Powers pictures and enjoyed them immensely, just because I remember that whole James Bond/Rat Pack/Playboy "swinger" stuff from the 1960s and hated it so much (I was a baby hippie and found it repulsively square and commercial and sexist.) I still won't see anything else he's in, but I thank him for that.
