Hee. I found the hyper-hypo/Nicole Kidman skit here. I'm fond of shouting "You're the devil!" at people who offer me sweets. It's entertaining. But probably just to me. Also, I think the Scottish accent is funny. I love "So I Married an Axe Murderer." "Heed! Pants!"

Connery receives a lifetime achievement award and Myers is present: After the recent gossip, maybe that's not such a joke? But would Myers want to out himself if he's having a relationship with a man now? The Perez blind item did claim the funnyman wasn't being that quiet about it.

Also, I think the Scottish accent is funny. I love "So I Married an Axe Murderer." "Heed! Pants!" One of my favorite, guilty pleasure movies. I'm quite fond of using "he (sic) smelled like soup" as a reason to dump somebody!

I feel slightly better knowing that my friend and I aren't the only ones who do that. "He smelled like soup" has become the default reason for dumping a guy or just not dating him when you can't really put your finger on any other tangible reason. It is just a lot funnier than "I don't know, I just didn't really like him." My friend has also trotted out the "He was a klepto!! Look, to this day I still don't know where my cat is." bit after dumping a guy.
And yes, we'll also yell at each other in Scottish accents - "All right, go help your mother. And don't you try one her bras on while you're at it, you wee girl? Float way, you fairy!!"
Yes, we're weird. And at one point in time we thought MM was hysterical. Now? Not so much.

Ahahaha... as the person who first complained about the accent, I do think it was pretty funny in that movie. The best scene IMHO is when ScottishDad is ranting about his kid's ginormous head: "It has its own weather system! Oh, look, he's going to go cry himself to sleep on his HUGE PILLOW!" And meanwhile, if you look over at Anthony LaPaglia in that scene, he is barely concealing his hysterical laughter. Ahh, good movie.

My friend Colleen introduced me to that movie. I am dying for her to hurry up and marry her long-term boyfriend so I can walk up the aisle after the ceremony and shout "Let's get pissed!" in my best Scottish brogue.

I can see why some people can't stand him, but I too love some of his work. Count me in on Axe Murderer--very quotable, and I love "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" with the bagpipes.
