Sometimes when someone looses alot of weight in a relatively short period of time, the skin doesn't have a chance to "bounce back" into shape and is left with a "dangling" effect. Before Mary's marriage, she lost quite a bit of weight and the look of her arms is probably due to that. She should lift some weights and get some tone there.

I don't think she looks that bad. It's true she lost a lot of weight, though. I don't get it. It's not like she's a big girl to begin with.

I'll start by saying I really like Mary. She's OK with me, BUT, this accent she has adopted is frustrating. I saw a video of her that had been taken during her 'real estate' years and she sounded like any other Aussie girl, but now (as another astute poster mentioned upthread) she sounds like she's just mastered the language. It makes her sound guarded, which I suppose she is. I love me some Frederik though, he's the cutest patootie that ever was

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that she developed the accent while she was learning the Danish language. Apparently, the Danish language is quite difficult to learn, so you need to work really hard to get it just right with tone and mouth movement etc and I'm sure Mary would be feeling a lot of pressure as the CP to get the language right, so that would account for the accent.
Also, I'm pretty sure Mary was born in Australia, although her father is Scottish. Not sure about her mother though.

Nothing has been anounced yet so the talk is only speculation. To keep it in perspective, a lot of people have been saying she is pregnant since the marriage and they always have pictures and situations they point to as "proof". The latest that I have heard is that her bust is getting larger and that she has developed a tummy. Also they think that she looked tired in some recent photos. However, F & M were just in Australia, then Thailand and now they are in Japan. Until I hear otherwise from official sources, I think it is just wishful thinking on people's part. On the first picture, I don´t think it´s her tummy, it´s just her jacket standing out!. And there is nothing special about the second picture.

She's one of my favourite royals and I hope she has a lovely healthy baby. Congrats, Mary!

Adding my congratulations and best wishes to Fred and Mary and baby. Apparently, gender discrimination is alive and well in Denmark. The baby will only inherit the throne if it is a boy, an only child or if the constitution is changed. I wonder if the law will be changed if the baby is a girl.
